After an early season home loss at the hands of the Ducks, the Ohio State Buckeyes have really turned the corner with six straight wins. The Buckeyes will look to continue their momentum on the road this week, as they go against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who continue to underperform year after year.
Early conversations around the Buckeyes' signal-caller C.J. Stroud have gone away, as Stroud has Ohio State averaging nearly 50 points per game while leading it to five straight wins.

Ohio State vs Nebraska predictions
Ohio State -14.5 (-110)
It’s been an agonizing season for Nebraska fans. The Cornhuskers are 3-6 on the season and have won just one game out of their last five. The thing is, this team isn’t all that bad. Nebraska just lost to Purdue by five, Minnesota by seven, and Michigan by three.
Nebraska has the talent, it just isn’t able to close out games right now. It’s got to learn how to win and that’s something it’s struggling with.
The defense has allowed just 20.3 points per game and 348.9 yards per game. The Cornhuskers aren’t the best against the run, giving up 137.2 yards per game, but make up for it with a solid secondary along with an effective pass rush.
Offensively, Nebraska is scoring 29.9 points per game with Adrian Martinez under center. He’s thrown for 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions but also has 451 yards rushing for 11 touchdowns. He’s the motor for this team and the offense.
Meanwhile, Ohio State just keeps getting better and better. Stroud has thrown for 23 touchdowns and just three interceptions while arguably having the best wide receiver group in the nation.
The offense averages 47.3 points per game while giving up just 19.3 points per game. The Buckeyes are gaining nearly 200 yards more than the opposition on a per game basis, and average 547.6 yards per game.
This is also against Big Ten competition. Therefore, while Nebraska has been staying around in games this season, Ohio State is far superior than any of these other Big Ten teams. The offense is lights out and Nebraska will struggle to get stops.
Meanwhile, the pass protection is dreadful for Nebraska, and Ohio State has one of the better pass rushes in America. That’s going to be a problem. Therefore, I’ll take Ohio State at -14.5.
Under 65 (-110)
Nebraska’s offense is gaining 470.1 yards per game but under 30 points. Against this Ohio State pass rush, it’s going to be much harder to score points.
On the other hand, Nebraska has done very well in the secondary and if it’s able to get a couple of deflections on some throws, that’ll keep Ohio State away from scoring nearly 50 points in this game.
I like the Under in this one, behind two defenses that have massive strengths in some areas. Nebraska’s coverage will be big against Ohio State’s receivers and Ohio State’s pass rush will be huge against a terrible offensive line for Nebraska in the passing game.
Grab the Under in this Big Ten matchup.
