On a college football Saturday stacked with intriguing matchups, this one may take the cake as the No. 2 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes travel to Eugene to take on the No. 3 Oregon Ducks.

In a game loaded with talent and star power, you know we’ve got to have more than side and total bets, so I dig into the college football player props for this epic Big Ten battle.

Here are my college football picks for Saturday, Oct. 12. Make sure you also check out our Ohio State vs. Oregon predictions!

Ohio State vs Oregon State college football player props

Prop bet #1: Quinshon Judkins Over 67.5 rush yards/TreVeyon Henderson Over 58.5 rush yards

Both -115 at BetMGM

Let’s start this off with a two-for-one special. While Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty has the numbers of the top running back in the country, Ohio State boasts the country’s best RB room with the dynamic duo of Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson

Judkins shockingly transferred from Mississippi in the offseason, considering the Buckeyes already had Henderson. But with Chip Kelly now running the offense in Columbus, there is definitely more than enough room for two excellent backs — and Kelly is getting the most out of his guys.

Judkins has rushed for 468 yards at 7.8 yards per carry and five touchdowns, while Henderson has totaled 337 yards at 8.0 yards per carry and four scores. I like them to keep rumbling against Oregon this week.

The Ducks rank 43rd in defensive success rate against the rush. Some of their run D numbers are probably a little better than they should thanks to some nice matchups the last couple of weeks.

But remember a few weeks ago when Jeanty gashed them for 198 yards and three scores? I know Chip does, and Oregon didn’t have to account for a guy like Jeremiah Smith in that game at the same time.

Judkins has a rushing total of 67.5, Henderson 58.5. Judkins has gone Over this number in three of five games, while Henderson is five for five. And they both went over their respective numbers in their most recent win against a good run defense in Iowa. Give me both to go Over on Saturday.

Prop bet #2: Traeshon Holden Over 41.5 receiving yards

-115 at BetMGM

The Oregon Ducks know they won’t be able to out-power the Buckeyes in this matchup, so if they want to pull off the upset in Autzen, it’s going to have to be with Dillon Gabriel and the passing attack.

Now, I considered Gabriel to go Over his passing yards, considering the Ducks could be behind, but OSU's defense is by far and away the best he's seen this season, and I think this number of 250.5 is pretty solid.

Instead, I’ll go with one of Gabriel’s targets. Tez Johnson is clearly Gabriel’s security blanket, already hauling in 43 catches this season, with 28 of them coming in the last three weeks. But Ohio State obviously knows that as well, so I won’t be shocked if the Buckeyes do what they can to take Johnson away.

So, let’s look at Traeshon Holden. The senior has been the Ducks' big-play threat with 274 yards and three scores on 19 receptions, and his receiving yards prop is set at 41.5. He’s gone Over that number in three of his last four games.

Prop bet #3: Traeshon Holden anytime touchdown

+200 at BetMGM

I love including an anytime touchdown scorer in these player prop articles, and there are a lot of tempting wide receiver options available.

Jeremiah Smith at -120, Tez Johnson at +110, or Emeka Egbuka at +130. But I’m going back to the well with Traeshon Holden, who is sitting at +200.

As noted, Holden is the most likely of the Ducks receivers to break a big one. He’s had at least one reception of 20 or more yards in all five games this season and has found the end zone in three of the last four games.

At this price point, Holden is my favorite value on the board.
