The Washington Huskies defense is still ferocious, and our expert college football predictions expect the Huskies defense to stymie everyone other than running back Jordan James.

Two teams that met last year in the Pac-12 Championship game are closing out their first-ever regular season in the Big 10 with a lot on the line as the Washington Huskies head to Eugene to take on the undefeated Oregon Ducks.

Find out why my Washington vs. Oregon predictions see a low-scoring game as I serve up my best college football picks for Week 14 on Saturday, November 30.

My analysis
These two former Pac-12 top contenders have had two different paths into their first-ever Big 10 season. The defending Pac-12 champion Washington Huskies have struggled with a 6-5 record and 4-4 in conference play. However, they do have a very different roster and a new coaching staff.

Meanwhile, the Oregon Ducks have gone undefeated through their first season in the Big 10, and that includes a win over Ohio State back in October. Oregon also defeated another likely playoff team in, the Boise State Broncos, in non-conference play. Now they just have one last test to finish the regular season undefeated.

However, despite their record, the Huskies have been ferocious on the defensive end. They rank 28th in points allowed per game and 19th in total yards allowed. They are especially good against the pass, ranking fifth in passing yards allowed and seventh in pass efficiency defense.

Meanwhile, the strength of the Oregon offense is in the passing game. They only rank 63rd in rushing yards per game and struggled to score last week against a top-15 passing defense in Wisconsin. Being held to 16 points again is unlikely, but they won’t likely reach their usual 34 points per game.

With Oregon struggling to score but also winning the time of possession and turnover battle, it is extremely unlikely that the Huskies will light up the scoreboard with their 109th-ranked scoring offense. This game is set up for an Under, with the Ducks still controlling the game.

Washington vs Oregon same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 50.5

Jordan James Over 99.5 rushing yards

Jordan James anytime touchdown

To add to the Under, I am going to include an alt Over for a player prop that will boost our odds. Jordan James to rush for 100+ yards will be a major boost and is very realistic for our game script needed for the Under. The Washington run defense ranks 75th nationally, and last week against Wisconsin, James ran for 121 yards in what could be a similar game script.

Finally, I will take James to also find the endzone. He has 11 touchdowns on the season and has scored in each of the last three games. The Huskies have allowed 14 touchdowns on the ground this season, and there is a very good chance that James will add to that total on Saturday night.
