Aaron Rodgers Next Teams Odds: Has A-Rod Played His Final Game for the Jets?

It hasn't exactly been a match made in heaven between Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets, and with the season all but lost, where do the sides go from here? Will Aaron Rodgers retire? Will the Jets force him out? I break down the odds below.

When the New York Jets acquired Aaron Rodgers, many rushed to the sportsbook to place a Super Bowl wager on Gang Green.

While it's tough to hold his season-ending injury last year (a couple of plays into Week 1) against him, this year has been an unmitigated disaster. He's looked every bit the part of a 41-year-old QB and his 'me-first' attitude got his coach fired.

Now, coming off his worst start of the year and a very tepid endorsement from the interim head coach, the Aaron Rodgers next team odds are running rampant.

Join me as I break down the NFL odds for Aaron Rodgers' outlook for the 2025-26 NFL season.

Will Aaron Rodgers retire before Week 1 of the 2025-26 season?

Yes No
+175 -260

Odds as of 12/2/24

I would like to believe we live in a world where a soon-to-be 42-year-old quarterback is not the main story ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 NFL season, but I don't think we're that lucky.

Aaron Rodgers only looks out for Aaron Rodgers, and the chances of him retiring on the heels of a piss-poor season for the New York Jets is not something Rodgers would do.

He loves — lives for — the spotlight, and retiring not on his own terms is not in the cards.

While I wouldn't recommend taking out a loan to bet the No at -260, I do believe this should be upwards of -500, which in turn means I believe there's value to be had.

So we've already established that I believe Aaron Rodgers isn't retiring. The next order of business is trying to find value in where he may end up next season, if not the New York Jets.

A couple of teams that stand out to me are the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants.

Raiders Las Vegas Raiders (+300)

It seems like an eternity since the Las Vegas Raiders had a big-name quarterback under center. Sure, you can say Jimmy Garropolo or Derek Carr, but Rodgers trumps both in terms of name recognition. Hell, if you want to see how bad it's been in the Black Hole, just take a peek at their QB Wikipedia.

With that said, this could be the perfect opportunity for the Raiders to land a "big-name QB" and one that could act as a bridge between the present day and the next franchise QB the Raiders inevitably try to draft.

Would it be funny for Rodgers to go to the team that traded his BFF, Davante Adams? Absolutely, but again, Rodgers only cares about Rodgers.

Giants New York Giants (+400)

Aaron Rodgers has the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever.

Could you imagine the scenes if Rodgers traded in his green and white for the blue and white of the New York Giants? After all, he did say "New York would be his first option."

Logically speaking, the Giants need to figure out a way to draft a franchise QB in order to help get the team out of the dumps. Rodgers would be the perfect stopgap before a full-on tank for a generational-type QB.

Will it happen? Probably not, but there are worse bets you could make.
