The Tennessee Titans and the Buffalo Bills will begin a Monday Night Football doubleheader at Highmark Stadium to put an exclamation point on Week 2.
The Bills are understandably large home favorites in this tilt exiting an emphatic Week 1 win over the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. The Titans were dealt a last-minute 21-20 loss by the New York Giants to kick off their year.
There are plenty of juicy Titans vs. Bills picks out there, but we’ll turn our attention to the player prop markets, specifically those of outstanding Tennessee tailback Derrick Henry. Here are our three favorite Derrick Henry props for Monday, September 19.

Derrick Henry MNF props
Workhorse
The Bills should expect a steady dose of Derrick Henry, especially early in this one.
Henry carried the ball 21 times in Week 1, and cleared the 20.5 plateau in six of his eight regular season contests in 2021. Even at less than 100% against the Cincinnati Bengals in last year’s playoffs, Henry was handed the rock 20 times.
The pattern is clear if you look back to 2020, as Henry tallied at least 21 carries in 11 of 16 tilts that year.
The Bills’ chances to break this one open early were dinged when wide receiver Gabe Davis was added to the injury list on Saturday with an ankle ailment. His absence could negate some of the big-play ability of Buffalo’s offense.
Look for Henry to tote the rock on a regular basis well into the second half in this one.
Prop: Over 20.5 rushing attempts (-113 at BetRivers)
Fade the gains
You never know what props will be available sometimes, which is why it pays to shop around and dig for unique plays, even though it can be time-consuming.
Longest reception props have been around for the last few seasons, but they’re typically limited to big-name wide-outs, with the occasional tight end or running back thrown in. Henry, who is seldom used in the Titans’ pass attack, is listed only at DraftKings for a longest reception prop, and at an inflated 8.5 yards.
Henry is offered in the total receiving yards market at 10.5 just about everywhere. This number for longest reception allows for very little middle ground — in other words, if he records a reception of nine yards or more, the likelihood is that he’ll go over his total receiving yards prop anyway.
However, I don’t think Henry will be a factor in the passing game on Monday night. The Bills were fifth in the NFL in receiving yards allowed to running backs last season. Henry wasn’t even targeted by Ryan Tannehill in three of the final five games he played in last year.
Prop: Longest reception Under 8.5 (-120)
King of the endzone
Henry failed to tally a touchdown in Week 1 against the Giants, but he has a chance to flip the script in Week 2, and at a decent price to boot.
The Alabama product broke off a memorable 76-yard touchdown run against Buffalo in a Week 6 MNF clash last season. That was the first of three trips he made to the end zone for Tennessee that night in a 34-31 triumph.
We’re not bold enough to call for another multiple-TD performance for Henry here, but at these odds, we’ll back him with confidence to score six points for the Titans here. The Bills surrendered 14 scores to opposing running backs in 2021, tied for the seventh-most by any team.
Prop: Anytime touchdown scorer (+100)
