Giants vs Panthers Prop Bets: Nabers Takes Flight in Munich

Malik Nabers has emerged as one of the most targeted wideouts in the NFL, and we expect the Giants rookie to shine against a bleak Panthers secondary.

As the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers head to Germany for the latest installment of the NFL’s International Series, it’s hard to think of many matchups that would be less likely to bring in new fans.

These teams bring matching 2-7 records to Munich, with the playoff door already slammed shut. But while the on-field product might be lacking, the player props market still has lots to offer.

Here are my three favorite NFL picks for this November 10 contest, including struggles for Bryce Young and a big day for target machine Malik Nabers.

Giants vs Panthers props

Prop bet #1: Bryce Young Under 181.5 passing yards

-115 at BetMGM

The Carolina Panthers enter Week 10 on the heels of a win over the New Orleans Saints — and that’s a rare feeling for former No. 1 pick Bryce Young, who improved his career record to 3-19.

But it wasn’t like he carved up the New Orleans defense last weekend. He finished with 171 passing yards that day, completing 16 of his 26 passes, and I’m wagering on a similar effort here to leave Young short of the 181.5 O/U line.

Young has only reached the 180-yard mark in two of his past 10 starts, and he’s working with a limited receiver group after Carolina traded away Diontae Johnson before the deadline. That leaves the Panthers relying heavily on rookies Xavier Legette and Ja’Tavion Sanders.

As a result, the running game should be front and center for Carolina this weekend, especially with Chuba Hubbard on such a roll. Hubbard is fifth in the NFL in rushing yards this season, and his hard running can set up more manageable third downs.

With the New York Giants boasting a solid pass defense that ranks in the Top 10 in the league in fewest yards allowed per game, this could be a tough outing for Young, even before you factor in all the unique elements of playing in Europe.

Prop bet #2: Malik Nabers Over 76.5 receiving yards

-110 at BetMGM

If anyone can elevate this matchup to a more watchable status, it’s Malik Nabers. His ability to haul in otherworldly catches and Daniel Jones’ willingness to keep throwing the ball his way makes for a potent mix. I’m riding with the Over here and banking on next-level volume as much as anything.

Despite missing two games due to a concussion, Nabers is tied for second in the NFL in targets this year, and there’s every reason to expect New York’s No.1 option to end up with double-digit looks for the sixth time this season.

Then there’s the Carolina defensive woes. The Panthers have been routinely torched this season, giving up at least 28 points in five straight games before a better effort against Derek Carr in Week 9.

Nabers is a matchup nightmare for even the best cornerbacks in the league, and he’ll find nothing like that in Week 10.

Prop bet #3: Tyrone Tracy Jr. anytime touchdown

+100 at BetMGM

The Giants have dropped four straight games, but Tyrone Tracy Jr. continues to give the running game some bite. The New York running back rumbled for 145 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8 — and despite just two scores through the first nine weeks, I like his chances of adding to that tally on Sunday.

Run defense has been high on the list of Carolina flaws this year, with the Panthers giving up a whopping 159.3 yards per game on the ground, and that should prompt a New York game script that leans heavily on Tracy Jr. and, to a lesser extent, Devin Singletary.

With the Giants poised for several red zone trips, I see Brian Daboll putting the ball in his rookie running back’s hands for at least a couple of opportunities near the goal line. At plus odds, I’m buying into Tracy Jr.’s scoring potential in Germany.
