Betting Trend to Know
The Under is 5-1 in the Giants' last six games overall. Find more NFL betting trends for Giants vs. Seahawks.
Against the Spread (ATS) Pick
The big question mark for New York going into this game is the health of quarterback Daniel Jones. The second-year passer isn't great, but will likely be more effective than backup Colt McCoy.
Recent reports suggest that Jones avoided a serious leg injury on the weekend and could suit up in Week 13. That could give a betting advantage to the Giants who are 4-1 ATS in their last five games and have outplayed expectations on the road recently, going 21-8 ATS in their previous 29 away contests.
Led by Russell Wilson and a high-flying offense, the Seahawks are 8-3 SU this season. However, a leaky defense has made it difficult for Seattle to cover the spread, causing them to go just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games.
The Giants defense isn't outstanding but it has been solid, ranking ninth in the league in scoring defense (23 points per game) and 10th in total defense (340.1 yards per game). Sure, they've faced off against some pretty pathetic offenses in the NFC East but they also limited the Buccaneers to 364 yards and the Rams to 240 earlier this year.
Are they going to shut down Wilson and the passing game? Probably not, but they should be able to keep this game close enough to cover.
PREDICTION: New York Giants +10 (-110)
Over/Under Pick
With an explosive offense and a lax defense, Seattle was a profitable Over play for the first half of the year, but has now cashed the Under in three consecutive contests.
The Seahawks also tend to play lower-scoring games against poor opponents, going 4-0 to the Under in their last four games against teams with a losing record.
Regardless of who plays QB, the Giants have no real weapons surrounding them, with plodding running back Wayne Gallman the best in the backfield and second-year wideout Darius Slayton leading the team with just 53 receiving yards per game.
New York ranks 30th in the league in scoring with 19.5 ppg and is 5-1 to the Under in the last six contests. Take the Under again.
PREDICTION: Under 48 (-110)
Player Prop
Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf leads the NFL in receiving yards this season and is coming off a 177-yard performance on Monday night against the Eagles.
Not only does Metcalf average 94.5 receiving yards per game he's been very consistent hitting the 90-yard plateau in eight of his 11 games this season.
Despite a strong campaign for new Giants cornerback James Bradberry, the G-Men are merely average at defending against wideouts, ranking 16th in the league in yards allowed to opposing WRs. Take the Over on Metcalf's receiving yard total of 78.5.
PREDICTION: D.K. Metcalf Over 78.5 receiving yards (-120)
Giants vs Seahawks Betting Card
