Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals offense put up a blazing 38 points last week, but it wasn't good enough to get the win, and they now find themselves at 1-4. They will travel to take on Brian DaBoll and the sneakily stout New York Giants defense, which has held opponents to 21 or fewer points in four straight games.

Who will Joe Burrow lean on to keep the Bengals' postseason hopes alive?

I dive into the Joe Burrow odds and deliver my NFL picks for Sunday Night Football on October 13.

My best bet
Joe Burrow Over 34.5 passing attempts (-132 at bet365)

My analysis

Between Zac Taylor's general offensive philosophy and the defense consistently giving up scores, Joe Burrow has had to air it out quite a bit this year for the Cincinnati Bengals. He has thrown the ball 30+ times in all but one game this year, and he had 29 in that lone exception.

He has gone Over tonight's passing attempts line in three of the five games this year, and had gone past that mark in six of his nine full games last year as well.

With the New York Giants' defense doing their part to at least keep games competitive, Cincinnati is unlikely to jump ahead enough to shift towards a run-heavy script.

Furthermore, Deonte Banks has been one of the worst cornerbacks in the NFL this season, so throwing to Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins when they line up opposite of him will be too enticing to pass up on.

Joe Burrow SNF same-game parlay

Joe Burrow Over 34.5 passing attempts

Tee Higgins Over 4.5 receptions

Erick All Over 2.5 receptions

Look for a large Tee Higgins game here. Ja'Marr Chase is the more obvious choice, but Higgins is priced a bit more reasonably given the actual target and first-read splits between the two.

Another player to target is Erick All, the rookie tight end who has sneakily posted excellent per-route metrics despite quiet raw production totals.

All managed to reel in just two receptions last week but had secured four in the three games prior to that. I'm buying low on All coming off his worst performance since Week 1.
