Lions vs Texans picks

Lions vs Texans expert picks & predictions

Pick: Goff Over 233.5 passing yards (-110 at bet365)

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff hasn't been setting the world on fire, as he's totaled 230 yards through the air across his last two games.

Still, Josh Inglis is bullish on the veteran's ability to light it up under the prime-time lights on Sunday Night Football.

"Goff has had to do very little over the last two weeks, which includes a 52-point performance with 85 passing yards and last week’s 145-yard effort outdoors in the rain at Lambeau vs. a good Green Bay passing defense. In the five games before that, the QB averaged 278.6 passing yards per game."

Tonight, Goff doesn't have to brave the elements and he's getting reinforcements in the receiving game as star WR Jameson Williams returns from suspension.

"(Williams) has gone for 79 or more yards in four of his six games and is a big addition to the indoor offense."

Lions vs Texans prop pick

Pick: Dalton Schultz Under 38.5 receiving yards (-110 at bet365)

Rohit Ponnaiya points out that Dalton Schultz was in a prime position to see an uptick in production in the receiving game last week as the Houston Texans were missing both Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins. It didn't work out that way.

"The tight end earned a 71% snap share and finished with three catches for just 21 yards."

Things won't get easier tonight as Collins might play and the Lions will be tough to crack.

"The O/U for Schultz's receiving yards this week is set at 38.5. He's eclipsed that number just once in nine contests this season while averaging 27.1 receiving yards per game. The Detroit defense does an excellent job of neutralizing TEs, allowing the second-fewest receiving yards per game (30.5) to the position."

C.J. Stroud prop pick

Pick: C.J. Stroud Under 237.5 passing yards (-110 at bet365)

Even with Collins potentially returning to the lineup, he might not be 100% and Texans QB C.J. Stroud will still miss Diggs. As a result, Quinn Allen doesn't expect a big game under center from the 23-year-old.

"Since Stroud’s options are limited downfield, the Texans have been running the football a lot more. In fact, the QB has only thrown for 200+ yards once in his last four games, hitting the Over in passing yards only once during that span."

The Texans will go to the ground more often and even if Stroud does take his shots, he likely won't have an explosive game.

Lions vs Texans SNF same-game parlay

Jared Goff 250+ passing yards

C.J. Stroud 250+ passing yards

Amon-Ra St. Brown anytime TD

Josh has a different read on Stroud, and is targeting both QBs to have big passing games with his same-game parlay for SNF.

"Collins might play but I like this without him. Houston has had some extra time to work on the passing game after the TNF loss. On the year, C.J. Stroud has passed for 285, 331, 345, 215, 260, and 234 indoors while averaging a league-high 305 passing yards per game at home."

He wraps it up with Amon-Ra St. Brown to find paydirt, figuring Williams' return will take some of the pressure off.
