Lions vs Texans SNF Prop Bets: Campbell's Soup

Jack Campbell has been a welcomed addition to the Detroit Lions' defense, and he'll rack up the tackles in Houston on Sunday.

Two of the top teams in the NFL face off on Sunday Night Football in Week 10, with the Houston Texans hosting the Detroit Lions.

These teams feature plenty of big-name offensive stars, but my favorite NFL player props are betting on a kicker, an under-used tight end, and a sophomore linebacker who is starting to play up to his draft spot.

Here are my best NFL picks and Lions vs. Texans predictions for November 10.

Lions vs Texans SNF props

Prop bet #1: Dalton Schultz Under 38.5 receiving yards

-110 at bet365

If you thought Dalton Schultz would see plenty of targets last week with Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins sidelined, you would have been disappointed. The Houston Texans tight end earned a 71% snap share and finished with three catches for just 21 yards.

The O/U for Schultz's receiving yards this week is set at 38.5. He's eclipsed that number just once in nine contests this season while averaging 27.1 receiving yards per game. The Detroit Lions defense does an excellent job of neutralizing TEs, allowing the second-fewest receiving yards per game (30.5) to the position.

Collins is also listed as questionable so there's a chance he'll return to the lineup, further cutting into Schultz's targets.

Prop bet #2: Ka'imi Fairbairn Over 7.5 points

-110 at bet365

Ka'imi Fairbairn is third in the league with 21 field goals and has scored at least 10 points in six of nine games this year. The veteran kicker thrives under the retractable roof at NRG Stadium, hitting 33 of 35 field goal attempts (94.3%) over the last three years.

Ever since the Lions lost superstar end Aidan Hutchinson to a season-ending injury, teams have been moving the ball against them. The Lions have allowed 403.3 yards per game in the last three contests, but they're stingy inside the 20-yard line — boasting the fourth-best red zone defense (43.5%) in the league.

The Texans have scored a touchdown on just 35.7% of their trips inside the red zone over the last three games, so expect field goal attempts from Fairbairn when their drives stall.

Prop bet #3: Jack Campbell Over 7.5 tackles and assists

-115 at bet365

The Lions surprised many when they took linebacker Jack Campbell with the 18th pick in last year's draft. However, Campbell had elite production in college, and he's emerged as a tackling machine in the pros as well. Among linebackers with at least 200 snaps this year, Campbell is seventh in defensive grade (80.1) per PFF while ranking 10th in run defense (79.0).

Campbell had 11 tackles against the Titans in Week 8 before racking up a career-high 13 tackles against the Packers last week. He barely came off the field in those contests, and he should see plenty of snaps against a Houston offense second in the NFL in plays per game (66.4).

The Texans are banged up at receiver but have a healthy Joe Mixon in the backfield. With Mixon in the lineup, Houston has run the ball 48.9% of the time, which is another reason to expect plenty of tackles from the run-stuffing Campbell on Sunday night.
