There are an “unlucky 13” contestants remaining in the Covers 10K Pro Football Survivor Contest heading into Week 15.

I’m sure your respective NFL survivor pool looks similar, especially after the Buffalo Bills lost in L.A. last Sunday.

As mentioned in previous weeks, I got snuffed out in Week 12 but will continue to play along accordingly, sticking to my remaining teams for weekly selections. Last Sunday, the Miami Dolphins just got through against the Jets, making me 12 for 13 in terms of my top survivor pool selections in 2024. Not bad.

Here’s my best NFL survivor pool pick for Week 15 as well as the safest selection, according to the NFL odds.

Teams used: Buffalo, L.A. Chargers, Seattle, Houston, Chicago, Green Bay, Cincinnati, Denver, Minnesota, Philadelphia, Washington (X), Tampa Bay, Miami

Covers Week 15 survivor pool pick

Chiefs Arizona Cardinals

Opponent: vs. New England Patriots

Moneyline odds: -260 (72.22% implied win probability)

There are better-looking survivor pool picks than the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15. The Cardinals are on a three-game skid and just got boat-raced by the Seahawks 30-18 at home last Sunday. But when it comes to losing streaks, Arizona’s isn’t that bad.

The Cardinals continue to play solid two-way football but shoot themselves in the foot with turnovers and rotten red-zone series. Kyler Murray has thrown five interceptions during this slide while the offense owns a collective 2-for-11 TD tally inside the opponents’ 20-yard line.

The New England Patriots should help remedy those offensive woes. New England has given up 87 total points in the three games prior to its Week 14 bye, allowing those opponents to score touchdowns at a 75% clip inside the red zone.

Arizona is a popular pick for survivor poolies in Week 15, due to the tight window of remaining teams. According to some tracking sites, the Cardinals are garnering more than 21% of selections.

Safest Week 15 survivor pool pick

Chiefs Baltimore Ravens

Opponent: at New York Giants

Moneyline odds: -1,300 (92.86% implied win probability)

The Baltimore Ravens are rested off the bye in Week 14 and now lay the lumber against the G-Men on the road.

The current moneyline price of -1,300 is the highest outright odds for any team this season and should it close there, it will be the third-highest moneyline for a road team since 2000.

The New York Giants haven’t won since Week 5 and don’t have the firepower to keep pace with Baltimore. New York’s defense is the bright spot for this team, but considering the Ravens will likely have the ball for 40 minutes, you’ll hear a big crack in the New York stop unit sometime during the third quarter.

Baltimore is the most popular selection for poolies in Week 15, drawing almost 43% of picks. I see the appeal in just advancing at this point in the season, but if you still have Baltimore as an option you may want to hoard it for the home stretch.
