The Tennessee Titans had a chance to carry their AFC South lead into Week 14, but a 41-35 loss at the hands of the Browns has them tied at 8-4 with the Indianapolis Colts. The Titans can not afford to look past the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend despite the fact that the Jags are losers of 10 straight.
The Jaguars head into Week 14 as a touchdown-or-more underdog for the seventh straight week as NFL odds have them at +7.5 with that spread trending toward the seven. The total sits at 53 which is an NFL betting number the Titans have eclipsed in three straight weeks to help push their season record to 9-2-1 O/U.

Against the Spread (ATS) Pick
The Jaguars may be riding a 10-game losing streak, but this is a team that has been rewarding spread backers since the calendar hit November. Jacksonville lost in overtime to the Vikings last week and in doing so, covered their fourth game in five matches. All four of those ATS wins came as an underdog of seven or more points.
QB Mike Glennon has done an admirable job of filling in for the injured Gardner Minshew II, and 24 percent of Glennon’s throws against the Vikings traveled 20 yards or more—which led the league in Week 13.
Minshew has reportedly begged to get back on the field, but head coach Doug Marrone could stick with Glennon again this week, which wouldn’t bother us.
Despite their six-point loss to the Browns, the Titans were humiliated last week as they trailed 38-7 at halftime and never had a chance.
This defense gives up too many big plays and can’t get off the field as the Browns’ middle-of-the-pack offense went 10-for-16 on third downs and amassed 458 yards of offense—mostly in the first half.
The Titans have been more than a TD favorite just once this year—and lost that game outright to the Bengals 31-20 back on November 1. We aren’t taking the 1-10 Jags on the ML, but just know this is an offense that can score against a terrible Tennessee defense.
PREDICTION: Jacksonville +7.5 (-115)
Over/Under Pick
At 9-2 O/U, the Titans are the best O/U team in 2020. They have hit the Over in four straight games averaging 63 combined points per game over that stretch. Tennessee is the only team in the league allowing at least 27 points per game while also scoring at least 27 of its own.
The Jaguars are also guilty of giving up easy points this year as they sit 29th in points allowed (29.3) and are dead-last in yards per play allowed at 6.2.
With Glennon getting more comfortable with the offense and WR D.J. Chark one more week recovered from his ailments, this offense’s needle is trending upwards and should be able to move the ball against Tennessee’s 29th-ranked DVOA defense, per Football Outsiders.
PREDICTION: Over 53 (-110)
First Quarter Total Pick
It’s not too often we get two of the league’s Bottom-four defenses and it isn’t even the highest total on the board!
The Titans gave up 17 points in the game’s first 16 minutes last week and have not seen a first-quarter score of under 10 points in four straight matches. Both teams are giving up over five points to their opponents in the first 15 minutes this year.
Glennon is comfortable with the deep ball, which could exploit the Titans’ biggest Achilles' heel. Tennessee has given up nearly 12 yards per completion since Week 11 and got gashed by the Browns in Week 13, especially in the game’s first frame.
PREDICTION: First quarter Over 10 (-110)
