While weather conditions can change in the snap of a finger, NFL Week 17 conditions for the outdoor games might be considered downright balmy compared to what we’ve seen the last couple of weeks.

That might be the big Christmas present for you, the bettor, as to how you lock in your NFL picks

Let’s take a trip around the outdoor venues where wind, rain, and other conditions are worth monitoring right up to kickoff.

Here’s the NFL betting weather report for Week 17.

Broncos vs Bengals Weather

It’s one of the big games of the week, and Paycor Field is expected to be a soggy one when the Denver Broncos battle the Cincinnati Bengals, with major playoff implications on the line.

While the temperature is a fall-like 60.2 degrees, there is a 67% chance of rain coming when this kicks off at 4:30 pm ET, though winds are going to be considered mild, at 7.2mph.

Any sort of condition change should make Bengals fans shudder with their kicking game. The current kicker, Cade York, who is taking over from Evan McPherson, is far from automatic. He’s 0-for-2 from 40-49 yards and 4-for-7 in four games.

Will Lutz has been stellar for Denver, missing just three kicks all season.

The line hasn’t been affected by this forecast, living in the 2.5-point to 3.5-point range, depending on where you’re looking.

Dolphins vs Browns Weather

The Miami Dolphins Christmas present comes on the 29th, as the conditions in Cleveland, while not optimal, are much better than you might expect in Ohio at the end of December.

The weather is expected to be around 51 degrees at kickoff, which is already a moral victory for Tua Tagovailoa, who is 0-7 in his career when it gets to 45 or lower.

There will be a 67% chance of rain, however, though winds should stay under 10mph at Huntington Bank Field.

These conditions had the books restoring their confidence in Miami; Caesars, for example, had them as 3.5-point favorites on December 18th. As the weather picture formed, they brought it to -6.5-points, where most other books have settled. It’s about as good as it’s going to get for a team that needs to win and get help to find its way into the postseason.

Falcons vs Commanders Weather

Plenty on the line for both teams here, and the winner will have to overcome some gloomy conditions at Northwest Stadium in Landover, MD.

The weather is expected at 51.9 degrees at kickoff, and there is a 65% chance of rain. Wind won’t play much of a factor, with gusts expected to maybe hit 5mph.

Will pressure and less-than-ideal conditions hamper the fill-in kickers? Riley Patterson has played three games since Younghoe Koo hit IR, and he’s gone 2-for-3 on field goals while making all eight EP conversions.

Zane Gonzalez has three games under his belt after Austin Seibert went to IR, and has gone 3-for-5 on kicks while making all 14 extra-point tries.

It might be more about nerves than weather anyway: Michael Penix Jr. will be making just his second start, going against fellow rookie Jayden Daniels, who is already being touted for his big-game ability.

Jets vs Bills Weather

The Buffalo Bills are at home and hoping to keep pace with the Kansas City Chiefs in the chase for the top seed in the AFC.

After snow and frigid cold the last few weeks at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY, the football gods have set the temperature to a manageable 47 degrees, with a 60% chance of rain. Winds are expected in the 8mph range.

That has to bode well for Josh Allen, who said a hit to his elbow and the cold weather combined to make his throwing hand go numb. Not exactly great news for Bills fans to hear.

But with the weather considered fair, there are no notable line swings Sunday: the Bills are 10-point favorites over the hapless New York Jets.

Cowboys vs Eagles Weather

Like other East Coast games, rain is expected at Lincoln Financial Field when the Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys. Temperatures are expected at under 50 degrees, with winds a reasonable 5.6 mph.

It could be optimal conditions, but kicking would still be a concern for the Eagles. Jake Elliott has exactly one kick made from 50+ yards out, so slick conditions might alter Philly’s game plan if they're working around the Dallas 40-yard line.

On the other hand, Brandon Aubrey might have the strongest leg in the league, and it appears shocking when he does miss a kick.

This spread was as low as Eagles -7.5, but Dallas getting eliminated probably shuts down injured CeeDee Lamb, making the Cowboys’ offense even more makeshift than it already is. The line has been upped to as high as double digits, though settling in at Philly -9.5.
