It’s been smooth flying for the Winnipeg Jets, and they’ll have a chance to avenge last spring’s first-round loss to the Colorado Avalanche in the postseason with a home-ice win at Canada Life Centre on Thursday, November 7.

Colorado is dealing with a laundry list of injuries, and my Avalanche vs. Jets predictions and top NHL picks are calling for Winnipeg to keep the good times rolling with a league-leading 13th win tonight.

Avalanche vs Jets prediction

My Jets pick
Jets moneyline (-135 at Pinnacle)

My Jets analysis
The Winnipeg Jets are at the top of the NHL mountain, and the view sure is nice. Winnipeg is pacing the league in goals per game (4.77) while allowing the second-fewest (2.31), and the Jets are both healthy and receiving high-end goaltending from No. 1 Connor Hellebuyck.

A contender in the Vezina Trophy odds, Hellebuyck is coming off a tidy 21-save shutout and sports a sterling .923 SV% and 2.10 GAA with 0.65 goals saved above average per 60 minutes.

With the Colorado Avalanche heading north to Canada Life Centre with an injury-riddled lineup and potentially without star defenseman Cale Makar (undisclosed), I expect the Jets to improve to 13-1 with a Thursday win.

Of course, Colorado has already confirmed Alexandar Georgiev will start against Winnipeg, and his .823 SV%, 4.62 GAA, and -1.99 GSAA/60 are last among all goalies with at least 200 minutes played this season.

I also value the Pinnacle -135 odds on the Winnipeg moneyline. Multiple sportsbooks are hanging a -150 price on the Jets moneyline, and the difference in those numbers is a positive expected value of 4% with the Pinny offering.

Avalanche vs Jets Over/Under analysis

There hasn’t been significant early movement to this moneyline at Pinnacle. The Jets opened as a -135 favorite Wednesday evening, and they’re carrying the same vig as of Thursday morning.

This total has seen a slight move to the Over, which aligns with Winnipeg pacing the league in goals per game (4.77) and Colorado ranking ninth (3.54). The highlighted struggles of Avs starter Alexandar Georgiev won’t go unnoticed by bettors, either.
