The Carolina Hurricanes look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead and continue their momentum into Game 2 tonight.
The Boston Bruins have struggled to score on the Canes all year long and it will be interesting to see how they adjust tonight. The Canes are a tough team to play against at home, so can Boston turn the tide?

Bruins vs Hurricanes picks and predictions
Our side and total predictions are based upon our analysis of the line and total in this game. Our best bet is our favorite pick across all markets.
Moneyline analysis
If you ask me, there were times in Game 1 where the Bruins looked like the better team, but as the game went on I think it became obvious that they are outmatched against the Hurricanes.
Despite the Bruins having a higher expected goals in Game 1, they continue to struggle at scoring against the Canes. Antti Raanta looked incredible in goal for the Canes, making 35 saves on 36 shots. Linus Ullmark had quite the opposite performance for the Bruins, allowing four goals.
Game 1 proved that the Canes are a great 200-foot team. They play well on all ends of the ice and still won 5-1 on Monday despite a mediocre performance. I expect a better effort from Carolina tonight, which makes a play on the moneyline well worth it.
Prediction: Hurricanes moneyline (-120 at DraftKings)
Over/Under analysis
Even though the Over hit in Game 1, it was scoreless for the first 35 minutes and I expect a very similar story tonight. These are two of the best defensive teams in the entire NHL, so don’t let the outcome of Monday's tilt convince you otherwise.
The Hurricanes did not have their best defensive performance, even though one may think so since they only allowed one goal. The Canes gave up 15 high-danger chances to the B’s, but Antti Raanta was there to shut the door and stop 1.2 goals saved above expected.
Ullmark did not play his best, but he has been resilient all season long so he is due for a bounce-back performance tonight. I expect the same type of defensive game from both teams and I think this will stay Under.
Prediction: Under 5.5 (+100 at FanDuel)
Best bet
The Bruins played much better than I anticipated in Game 1, but if they continue to not find offensive production, we will start to see a ton of frustration from them which will lead to undisciplined penalties.
The Hurricanes have been so good on home ice all season long and it is so hard to imagine them losing to Boston at home when the Bruins have only scored two goals in four total games against them this season.
Getting the Canes at only -120 is incredible value, and I think they will put together an even stronger performance this time around.
Pick: Hurricanes moneyline (-120 at DraftKings)
