The Montreal Canadiens come into tonight’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights on a decent roll with three wins in their last four games, largely thanks to Nick Suzuki's efforts.

The captain has been a driving force for the team’s offense over that span with six points and a team-leading 12 shots, and I’ll be looking for him to continue getting pucks on net in my Golden Knights vs. Canadiens predictions and NHL picks for Saturday, November 23.

Nick Suzuki Over 2.5 shots (+140 at BET99)

My Canadiens analysis
The Montreal Canadiens picked up their second straight win on Monday, this time with an impressive 3-0 shutout victory over the Oilers. Nick Suzuki found the score sheet for the second straight game with an assist while registering a team-high four shots on the net.

The Habs captain has been making a habit of throwing plenty of pucks on the net of late, and I’m banking on him to register Over 2.5 shots tonight against the Las Vegas Golden Knights.

Suzuki has tallied at least four shots in two of his last four outings, with a team-leading 12 total shots over that span. Since October 27, Suzuki leads Montreal with 26 shots – an average of 2.36 shots per game.

The Golden Knights have stumbled of late, going 3-3-1 in their last seven contests while giving up 30.4 shots per game over that span – ninth-most in the NHL. Vegas is also coming off one of its worst defensive performances of the season in terms of shots allowed after Ottawa put 40 on net on Thursday.

Suzuki is playing 19:56 per game – two minutes more than any other Canadiens forward – so he’ll have plenty of chances to put pucks on net against an inconsistent Golden Knights defense.

Under 6

Along with his penchant for putting pucks on net, Suzuki has been pretty consistent at picking up points. The Habs captain has found the score sheet in three of his last four games and tallied a point in eight of his last nine games in October.

Montreal’s last three games have featured six goals or fewer, with the Canadiens allowing just four total goals over that span. Meanwhile, four of Vegas’ last five outings have seen the total finish at six goals or less.
