It’s a short turnaround for the Winnipeg Jets to average Saturday’s 5-0 loss to the Florida Panthers, with the two first-place clubs meeting at the Canada Life Centre on Tuesday, November 19.

Winnipeg has been a force on home ice and held opponents in check to start the season, and our top Panthers vs. Jets predictions expect goals to be tough to come by for both teams in the second meeting between these clubs in just three nights.

Check out the rest of our NHL picks ahead of tonight's puck drop at 8 p.m. ET on TSN3.

Under 6.0 (-112 at Pinnacle)

My Jets analysis

The Winnipeg Jets generated three high-danger scoring chances during their 5-0 loss to the Florida Panthers on Saturday.

Florida put on a defensive clinic but Winnipeg will have the advantage of last change tonight, so Jets head coach Scott Arniel can lean on his preferred on-ice matchups tonight. It’s an edge that’s helped Winnipeg soar to an 8-1 start while allowing the fourth-fewest goals per game (2.11) on home ice.

Winnipeg No. 1 Connor Hellebuyck is also set up for a bounce-back showing.

Hellebuyck sports an elite .934 save percentage and 2.14 GAA across his eight home starts, while Florida No. 1 Sergei Bobrovsky has been better on the highway this season with respective .918 and 2.41 marks.

Of course, Bobrovsky is also coming off the tidy 27-save shutout over Winnipeg, too.

Sticking with Florida, there’s a lot of noise in their year-long statistics because No. 1 center Aleksander Barkov missed a huge chunk of action. The Panthers are 6-2 with just 2.16 expected goals against at 5-on-5 since he returned, after all.

I anticipate both teams having difficulty generating consistent quality chances, and capitalizing on them will be just as tough with Hellebuyck and Bobrovsky two of the best in the business.

Jets vs Panthers Odds analysis

This moneyline has moved to the Winnipeg side. Both teams opened at -106 at Pinnacle, and the Jets are carrying a -113 price as of Tuesday morning. My numbers don't show a huge edge on either side.

There hasn’t been a notable move to this total. It’s remained at 6.0 at Pinnacle, and I don’t suspect a 5.5 or 6.5 number would last if tested.
