Maple Leafs vs Flyers Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NHL Game

Auston Matthews has thrived against the Flyers in recent matchups, recording two or more points in five straight meetings. With how poorly Philly's been playing, the Leafs captain will make it six.

Tonight, the NHL betting slate includes 10 games, including an Eastern Conference clash between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Philadelphia Flyers at Scotiabank Arena.

The Maple Leafs have had immense success against the Flyers, winning nine of the last 10 games. Auston Matthews’ offensive domination has played a significant role in that, and my Maple Leafs vs. Flyers predictions anticipate similar success tonight as the Buds look to rebound from the weekend loss.

Find out why with my free NHL picks for this Tuesday, March 25 matchup.

My Leafs analysis
The Toronto Maple Leafs welcome the Philadelphia Flyers to town tonight — a team the Buds have thoroughly dominated over the years, winning nine of the last 10 meetings while outscoring the opposition 45-25.

Could another lopsided Leafs win be in the cards tonight? I think so.

The Flyers have just one win in their last 10, averaging 3.90 goals against in that stretch while only scoring 1.69 per contest themselves. They’ve also had poor special teams results with a 71% penalty kill to go along with an ice-cold power play that hasn't scored in 10 games.

As for the Leafs, they enter on a sour note after falling to a lowly Nashville club that was also in freefall. Thus, Toronto should be heavily motivated to deliver a significant bounce-back performance tonight in front of their home crowd.

Enter Flyer Slayer, Auston Matthews

A big reason why the Leafs are 9-1 in the last 10 meetings against Philly is a consistent offensive output from AM34. The Leafs captain is riding a 10-game point streak against the Flyers, recording eight goals and 18 total points in that stretch.

Even more impressive is that he’s registered two or more points in five straight meetings and seven of the last 10 against Philly.

Additionally, the Leafs have the top-ranked power play in March, and Matthews has been a big part of that success, recording eight PP points in this 11-game stretch.

Maple Leafs vs Flyers same-game parlay (SGP)

Auston Matthews anytime goal

Maple Leafs first team to score

Maple Leafs -1.5

Matthews has scored five goals in the last five meetings against Philly.

Toronto has opened the scoring in seven straight games and eight of its last 11. Meanwhile, Philly has allowed the first goal in eight of its last 10.

For the final leg, I’ll continue to fade Philly on the puck line. The Flyers are a much weaker team and have just one win in their last 10, going 3-7 against the spread over that stretch.
