NHL player prop bets today

Best NHL player prop bets for April 11

Nikita Kucherov Over 3.5 shots on goal (+132 at bet365)

Tampa Bay Lightning superstar Nikita Kucherov put 20 pucks on net last time out against the Toronto Maple Leafs and amazingly finished with just two shots. He’s shown a late-season uptick in shots and attempts with an impressive 11.73 and 24.59 per 60 minutes, respectively.

Additionally, the Lightning are rolling with just 11 forwards, so he’s averaged a healthy 20:58 of ice time per night during the 10-game stretch.

This is also the final stop of a mini three-game road trip for the Detroit Red Wings, and they sport a 20th-ranked 48.7 Corsi For percentage at 5-on-5 during their active 8-14-2 lull down the stretch.

Drake Batherson Over 2.5 shots on goal (+135 at bet365)

The Montreal Canadiens sport a 29th-ranked 45.1 Corsi For percentage at 5-on-5 while allowing the 10th-most shots per game (29.1) since March 1, so I’m anticipating Drake Batherson and the Ottawa Senators tilting the ice in their favor at Canadian Tire Centre tonight.

Batherson paces the Sens with 34 shots over the past 10 games, and he’s recorded three or more six times. He’s also projected to skate on the No. 1 line with Tim Stutzle and David Perron on Friday, so there’s potential for extra ice time.

Finally, Montreal has averaged the most shorthanded ice time per game, and Batherson has been a go-to shooter on the No. 1 power-play unit of late with 21.43 attempts per 60 with Brady Tkachuk out of the lineup.

Marco Rossi Over 0.5 points (+105 at bet365)

Minnesota Wild center Marco Rossi projects to skate with superstar Kirill Kaprizov in all situations Friday, and there’s nothing scary about the middling Calgary Flames defense. The Flames have allowed a healthy 3.07 goals per game through their past 15 while sporting a 46.7 goals percentage at 5-on-5.

Rossi has also posted consecutive multi-point games, and he’s third on Minny with a respectable 2.49 points per 60 minutes for the year. Rossi has also been on the ice for 4.45 goals per 60 minutes when skating with Kaprizov compared to 3.34 without.
