3M Open Live Odds: Tracking the Action at TPC Twin Cities

Cameron Smith performed beautifully on Sunday to capture the Claret Jug at The Open Championship by a single stroke over Cameron Young. With the final major of the year now in the rearview mirror, our sights move to the rest of the golf season.

First on the docket is the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, MN. 

It's not a jam-packed field, but the likes of Tony Finau and Hideki Matsuyama bring some star power to the event.

Live odds to win the 2022 3M Open

Notes on the field

Last year's winner, Cameron Champ, returns to defend his crown but books have him at +6,000 to successfully do so. Hideki Matsuyama, 2021 Masters champion, is the top PGA Tour 2022 money earner in the field and Tony Finau is the overall betting favorite. Other notable names include Sungjae Im, Jason Day, and Rickie Fowler. 

Favorites to win the 3M Open

Tony Finau (+1,400)

After a smattering of missed cuts early in the year, Finau has been much stronger since the end of March, missing just one cut in his last 10 tournaments. He's also had three Top-5 finishes in that span, including a pair of runner-up performances at the Mexico Open and RBC Canadian Open. He finished T28 at St. Andrews after shooting a spectacular 66 on Sunday.

Hideki Matsuyama (+1,600)

It has been an up-and-down season for Matsuyama, who won the Sony Open in January and has had a few Top-10 finishes mixed in with some finishes further down the card. He did finish fourth at the U.S. Open but had less fortune during his recent trip overseas, missing the cut at the Genesis Scottish Open and finishing T68 at The Open. Still, the Scottish Open finish marked his lone missed cut on the year, so he's always in the mix come Sunday.

Sungjae Im (+2,000)

After a T8 finish at the Masters, the 24-year-old Korean continued his hot play with four straight tournaments at T21 or better. Then he missed cuts at the U.S. Open and Genesis Scottish Open before a T81 at The Open this past weekend. He hasn't played the 3M Open since 2019 where he finished T15.

Notable long-shots for the 3M Open

Cameron Champ (+6,600)

There's a reason why the defending, er, Champ is low on the odds board. The 27-year-old has missed five straight cuts and has largely struggled throughout 2022 outside a three-tournament run from the Masters (T10) to the Mexico Open (T6) and AT&T Byron Nelson (T38). Still, he shot better than 70 in all four rounds at TPC Twin Cities a year ago en route to his third PGA Tour win. He'll have to ride his powerful stroke off the tee to victory as Champ currently leads all PGA Tour golfers in driving distance. 

Chris Gotterup (+4,000)

Gotterup missed the cut at the Barbasol Championship over the weekend — the new pro will have to wait for his Open Championship debut — but that was mainly off the back of a rough, six-bogey performance in the opening round. In fact, all that damage occurred over his first 12 holes. After that, he hit nine birdies to just one more bogey over his final 24 holes. Gotterup made a bit of a name for himself by finishing T4 at the John Deere Classic at the start of July.
