What better place to close out the 2021 calendar year than at Tiger's tournament. This strong, limited-field event takes place at Albany Golf Club in Nassau, Bahamas.

Though no FedEx Cup points are available this weekend, this is an official OWGR event, meaning players can try and improve their ranking before the year closes.

With the tournament now underway, let's look at the live odds to win the 2021 Hero World Challenge.

Hero World Challenge pre-tournament favorites

Topping the pre-tournament board this week at +700 is OWGR No. 8 Rory McIlroy, who might just be returning to the world-beating form we didn't see from him in 2021. McIlroy won The CJ Cup @ Summit in October and had a solo lead heading into the final round at the DP World Tour Championship two weeks ago in Dubai before crashing out in the final round, finishing T6. A win this weekend would give him three victories on the year, in what he's consistently called a down year. Not too shabby.

The winner of the DP World Tour Championship mentioned above, Collin Morikawa, holds the No. 2 spot at +750. The two starts before his victory in Dubai were T7 at the ZOZO Championship and a second-place finish behind Rory at The CJ Cup @ Summit. He seems to work himself into contention just about every week and can actually move to No. 1 in the world for a week if he wins.

Behind McIlroy and Morikawa are a number of juggernauts, starting with Justin Thomas (+900), who has three T5 finishes in his last five PGA Tour starts. Viktor Hovland is right behind JT at +1,000 - whose last start was a repeat win at the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba. Following them are Jordan Speith (+1,100) and Xander Schauffele (+1,200), who have both enjoyed some time off since mid-October. They'll look to get back into things this week.

Fresh off appearances on 'The Match', Bryson DeChambeau is on the board at +1,200. His foe and champion of the weekend, Brooks Koepka, is available at +2,000.

The 2019 champion Henrik Stenson is at the bottom of the board at +5,000.

How to bet on PGA Tour odds

The most popular way to bet on golf is by simply picking the winner, which is also referred to as outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, however. Some of the more popular markets include head-to-head betting, where sportsbooks pair up two golfers and you simply choose who you think will have the lower score over the course of the weekend or for one round only.

There are also 3-way betting markets (choose the best golfer among three choices) and group betting (choose the best golfer amongst a group of players).

Other ways to wager include Top-5/Top-10/Top-20 finish, top golfer by nationality, to make the cut/to not make the cut, and the leader after each round. Then, of course, there's the popular prop bet of whether or not there will be a hole in one at the tournament.
