Rory McIlroy returned to top gear with a win at Pebble Beach, and Scottie Scheffler will look to hold serve with a win of his own at TPC Scottsdale.
The World No. 1 has two wins here in Phoenix, and he's a runaway favorite on the Waste Management Phoenix Open odds board to make it three this week.

Scottie Scheffler's much-anticipated return didn't end in a win, but a T9 finish at Pebble Beach suggests the World No. 1's form hasn't gone far. His +300 odds to win this week also suggest as much.
That +300 price pales in comparison to the odds of his back-to-back victories in 2022 and 2023, closing at 25/1 in '22 and 12/1 in '23 before finishing T3 a season ago.
Justin Thomas is No. 2 on the board as he continues to search for his first win since the 2022 PGA Championship. While a T48 at Pebble is forgettable, JT's finished third or better in three of five starts since last year's FedEx Cup Playoffs. He's available as long as 13/1 this week.
Two-time Phoenix Open champ (2016, 2017) Hideki Matsuyama is running third, and he's won as recently as The Sentry to start the year and the FedEx St. Jude Championship in August before that.
Rounding out the Top 5 are Sungjae Im (T33 at Pebble Beach, T66 in Phoenix last year) and Sam Burns (T22 at Pebble, T3 last year) at 22/1 and 25/1, respectively.
