The PGA Tour continues the West Coast Swing on the Monterey Peninsula for the second signature event of the year and a star-studded field teeing it up for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler returns and checks in as the betting favorite in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds, with Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa and Ludvig Aberg slotting in just behind.
Here are my top golf picks for this week’s test at the storied Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.
Golf picks for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2025
- Morikawa to win outright (+1500 at DraftKings)
- Cantlay to win outright (+2000 at FanDuel)
- Straka Top 30 (-105 at DraftKings)
- Clark over Spieth (-125 at bet365)
- Horschel Under 71.5 Round 1 score (-110 at Caesars)
AT&T Pebble Peach Pro-Am outright picks
Pick to win: Collin Morikawa
+1500 at DraftKings
The California kid has been knocking on victory’s door with eight Top 5s since winning the ZOZO Championship in October 2023, and he finished T14 in his debut run at Pebble last year. He's coming off a solo second at The Sentry birdie fest, and I’m confident in his tee-to-green game positioning him for plenty of scoring opportunities again this week.
Collin Morikawa was second in true strokes gained tee-to-green at The Sentry and also ranks second in this field in true strokes gained tee-to-green across his past 14 events.
Sleeper: Patrick Cantlay
+2000 at FanDuel
This will be Patrick Cantlay’s eighth competitive trip to this event, and he’s posted a T11-T3-T4-T11 run the past four while gaining true strokes putting in each. He also heads to Pebble in excellent form with nine consecutive Top 25s, including a T15-T5 start to this season in similar birdie-fest tournaments.
Pair Cantlay’s experience in this event with ranking eighth in this field in true strokes gained tee-to-green during the nine-event heater, and I anticipate him contending again this week.
AT&T Pebble Peach Pro-Am prop picks
Finishing position pick: Sepp Straka Top 30
-105 at DraftKings
Sepp Straka heads to Pebble in far better ball-striking form than he did a year ago when he posted a respectable T26 finish. He’s obviously coming off his third-career PGA Tour win at The American Express, and Straka ranks sixth in this field in true strokes gained on approach, 16th in true strokes gained tee-to-green, and third in driving accuracy.
Add Straka gaining true strokes on the greens in three consecutive events to the highlighted ball-striking form, and there’s a lot to like about his entire game. It’s reflected in his results, too. He preceded his win with a solid T9-T15-T30 stretch, after all.
Matchup pick: Wyndham Clark over Jordan Spieth
-125 at bet365
Jordan Spieth is making his 2025 debut following wrist surgery. He hasn’t played a competitive round since mid-August and had a single Top 25 showing across 14 events dating back to his missed cut at the Masters.
Spieth could turn back the clock, and he was once the king of the Pebble Beach playground castle... I'm just happy to bet he doesn’t.
I just prefer Wyndham Clark’s complete game and consistent schedule leading into this event. He has eight Top 20s and gained true strokes across the board over his past 11 events, and I actually value his win here last year as much — or as little — as him missing the cut at the Amex. This is a Spieth fade as much as it is a Clark endorsement.
AT&T Pebble Peach Pro-Am first-round pick
First-round pick: Billy Horschel Under 71.5 Round 1 score
-110 at Caesars
Following a slow start to the season, Billy Horschel turned it around at The American Express with a respectable T21 while gaining true strokes across the board. As a result, I think firing a 71 or lower in the opening round at a short Par 72 isn’t priced properly, and these standard -110 odds are a steal.
Spyglass Hill Golf Course has four Par 5s, with the longest just 595. Additionally, there are nine Par 4s shorter than 450 yards.
While Horschel hasn’t teed it in this event since 2018, he still has six competitive rounds at the track, and I value his complete game providing more than enough scoring opportunities on Thursday. He finished fourth in adjusted scoring average on the PGA Tour last season, after all.
