2024 Scottish Open Odds: Live at the Renaissance Club

Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele were both short prices going into the Genesis Scottish Open, and with good reason. They are the two most recent winners with McIlroy claiming victory in 2023 and Schauffele the year before.

Rory McIlroy will look to defend his title in the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open as one of the golf odds betting favorites.

Joining McIlroy near the top of the board is another former Scottish Open champ in Xander Schauffele. This is a star-studded tournament that serves as a bit of a tune-up for The Open Championship the following week.

Round 1 teed off on Thursday, July 11, and you can find the latest live odds right here.

Scottish Open odds and field analysis

With The Open Championship following next week, the Genesis Scottish Open features a pretty stacked field. While you won't find Scottie Scheffler or any of the LIV cast-offs at the Renaissance Club, several Top-10 golfers from the OWGR will be in the field. Rory McIlroy (+650 to +800) is the betting favorite after winning in 2023 by one stroke over Robert MacIntyre.

McIlroy hasn't been seen since coughing up the U.S. Open to Bryson DeChambeau by bogeying three of the final four holes. Still, McIlroy has finished T22 or better in 10 of his last 11 tournaments, including a win at the Wells Fargo Championship in early May and a trio of Top-4 finishes.

Xander Schauffele (+850 to +900) is the World No. 3 and also has a Scottish Open title under his belt, winning by a single stroke over Kurt Kitayama in 2022. Schauffele has arguably been in finer form than McIlroy in 2024, finishing T25 or better in all but one of his 15 tournaments, which includes 10 Top-10 finishes, including a win at the PGA Championship, a T7 at the U.S. Open, and a solo eight-place result at the Masters.

No one else has odds shorter than 12/1, which is the range where you'll find Ludvig Aberg (+1,200 to +1,400). He's missed one cut this year (the PGA Championship) and has six Top 10 finishes. Despite his short odds this week, he failed to reach the weekend at the 2023 Scottish Open.

Collin Morikawa (+1,400 to +1,600) has been a little more volatile in his results but has found a groove lately, finishing within the Top 20 in each of his last eight entries. Morikawa has only one win on the PGA Tour since he took the 2021 Open Championship, winning the 2023 Zozo Championship last October.
