A'ja Wilson's bid to repeat as MVP last season — and win a third overall — fell short in controversial fashion. But she's made damn sure there's no question in 2024.
Despite the Aces' sluggish start, and struggles out of the Olympic break, Wilson's ridiculous 26.9/11.9/2.6 blocks line was Top-2 league-wide in all three categories (only Angel Reese outrebounds Wilson per game).
Wilson shattered the WNBA's single-season scoring record, and the margin between her and the second-leading scorer (4.7 points) was also the largest in league history.

Of course, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention Caitlin Clark odds for MVP after she garnered plenty of preseason attention in this market.
FanDuel opened Clark as the eighth choice for MVP odds (+2,100) before she'd played a single WNBA game. And the bar rose even higher in the weeks that followed, with throngs of public bets pushing Clark up to third choice at +950 — bested only by Wilson and Breanna Stewart.
As the season wore on, Clark overcame a barrage of attacks — both personal and from opposing defeneses — to become the transcendent scorer and playmaker everyone touted her as coming out of Iowa.
She's a likely All-WNBA First Teamer, and was third on the MVP odds board when the market closed. A landmark rookie season by any standards, including the unprecedented hype Clark rode in upon.

The Indiana Fever naturally made Clark the No. 1 pick in April 15's WNBA Draft, and the phenom has continued to be a heavy odds-on favorite throughout her debut, despite rival Angel Reese also having a standout rookie campaign.
