Bournemouth vs Chelsea Predictions & Picks for Today’s EPL Matchup

Cole Palmer's been a force in blue, and Bournemouth should do little to stop him from getting his shot off Saturday.

The Premier League returns after the international break with some highly interesting matches.

One of which is destined for plenty of goals, and my Bournemouth vs. Chelsea predictions are for Cole Palmer to help press the attack.

See why these two sides should make for plenty of fireworks with my EPL betting picks for Saturday, September 14.

EPL predictions for Bournemouth vs Chelsea

My best bet:
Cole Palmer 2+ shots on target (+140 at Betano)

My analysis

Cole Palmer overcame the muscular fatigue that made him drop out of international duty and is fit to face Bournemouth on Saturday.

That's excellent news for manager Enzo Maresca and the Chelsea faithful. The PFA Young Player of the Year award winner is the biggest threat against Bournemouth's defense. He will look to conserve status when Chelsea go south to visit the Vitality Stadium at the weekend.

In Chelsea's 6-2 win over Wolves, the only domestic away game so far for the West Londoners, Palmer had a blast. He scored once, assisted another three, and hit the woodwork on one occasion. He sent a total of five shots.

He is ever-present and threatening, so if you're looking for individual bets, you can't avoid him. Betano has Palmer at +140 to shoot on goal at least twice during the Bournemouth match.

He's fresh and hungry, so if you see him being decisive once more for his team you could consider the 3+ shots on target at a huge +470. Palmer assisting one goal is at +225, while him getting on the scoresheet at least once stands at +110.

Bournemouth vs Chelsea same-game parlay (SGP)

Cole Palmer 2+ shots on target

Chelsea to win or draw

Marc Cucurella 54+ passes

If Chelsea are to improve on their last season's disappointment, they need to gain consistency. They have loads of talented players and a manager with new ideas. Bournemouth will not park the bus and the match should offer plenty of entertainment in both boxes. But Bournemouth are exactly the kind of opponent Chelsea loves to play against. The skillful offensive players at Maresca's disposal can show what they're made of thanks to the style the manager is implementing.

Apart from those who work on the wings and in the attack, left-back Marc Cucurella is also expected to be involved heavily in Chelsea's build-up. He attempted 75 passes vs. Palace, 47 vs. Wolves (he played 82 minutes), and 58 vs. City, so having him at 54 to round up a +430 SGP at Betano shouldn't be neglected.
