We’re at the quarterfinal stage in the FA Cup, and the final matchup on Sunday pits Bournemouth and Manchester City against each other, with the winner getting a place at Wembley for the semifinals.

Bournemouth’s drop of form has come at the wrong time, especially facing a team of Man City’s experience. That’s why our Bournemouth vs. Manchester City predictions have Pep Guardiola’s City team getting the win.

Bournemouth vs Man City picks and predictions

My best bet: Man City to win (+135 at TonyBet)

My analysis
The final team into the FA Cup semifinals will be decided when Bournemouth meet Man City at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday. Thanks to Man City’s struggles this season, you can get the Citizens to win at plus money, and that’s an offer that you need to grab with both hands.

It's understandable that some people may want to swerve Man City given their performances this year, and given the fact that they’re still playing inconsistently, looking excellent some weeks and poor the next. However, we need to remember that the title is out of their reach and they’ve been eliminated from Europe. This competition, as well as the Club World Cup at the end of the season, are the only things they have left to fight for.

Pep Guardiola has shown a desire to win this competition every season, and given the past six months that they’ve had, he’ll be desperate to regain it.

This is also the perfect time to face Bournemouth. They’ve been one of the surprise packages this year, going from a team that many thought would be in a relegation fight to being one of the most entertaining in the league. They’ve reached an FA Cup quarterfinal and sat in the Champions League spots earlier in the season. But that was earlier in the season.

They’ve fallen rapidly since then, now sitting firmly midtable in 10th in the Premier League. We’re still thinking of this as a great team, and while they are an impressive unit, they’ve really fallen off since February. They’ve lost four of six games in the Premier League in that time, and if you take away their two FA Cup wins to reach this stage, they only have one other victory.

That poor form should be setting off warning signs as well as highlighting City as a smart bet for Sunday’s game, but a further look into Bournemouth’s absences is also another huge red flag.

Among the absences are two huge names who’ll be missing this game with suspension, in Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez. Missing half of their first choice back four, and their best two defensive players, is a serious problem against an attack that boasts the quality of Man City.

Bournemouth vs Man City same-game parlay (SGP)

Man City to win

Both teams to score

Erling Haaland to score

We have a very tasty Bournemouth vs Manchester City Same-Game Parlay for Sunday, so let’s get stuck straight into it.

In addition to the best bet, we’re going to back both teams to score. We’ve already covered Man City winning, and therefore scoring, but why will Bournemouth score? This Man City team haven’t been as strong defensively as they have in previous seasons, with just six clean sheets in the league. They were even behind to Plymouth Argyle in the last round of the FA Cup and have consistently shown a weakness at the back.

Bournemouth have been strong at home, scoring in 12 of 16 games at the Vitality.

The final leg of this SGP has us backing Erling Haaland to score. The big Norwegian has scored 29 goals for his club this season and is in great form. He’s scored in three straight games for both club and country, managing to get on the scoresheet in both games over the international break.

He’s a lethal finisher and will get chances on Sunday.
