If you offered Canada an opportunity to advance to the quarterfinals in their first-ever Copa America tournament with a win or draw in the group stage finale, you can bet your bottom dollar they would accept that deal every time.

That's the position Canada finds themselves in ahead of Saturday's fixture vs. Chile, and the Copa America odds seem to back the Canadians to qualify.

My Canada vs Chile predictions have me bleeding red and white on Saturday, June 29.

Canada vs Chile picks, predictions, and betting tips

My best bet:
Canada double chance — Win/Draw (-133 at Betano)

My analysis
For those of you who followed along with my pre-tournament predictions for Canada, I essentially said anything they can get against Argentina would be gravy, but the biggest two games would be Peru and Chile to wrap up the group stage.

While I did take them Over 2.5 total goals, I can see a scenario play out in this fixture where Chile pushes bodies forward in search of a win (something they need to progress) and Canada can take advantage with a lightning-quick counterattack, similar to what we saw vs. Peru.

Now, most will be quick to judge Canada for taking advantage of a 10-man Peru side, but the result is what matters, and they showed some good signs and attacking intent even before the red card changed the game.

If we look at what Chile have done through two games, vs the same opposition, you have to scratch your head and wonder why they are even the favorites in this game.

Against Peru, they were poor, managing just two shots on target, and against Argentina, they were even worse (despite the result), putting three shots on goal for an xG of 0.14 and managing 41% possession.

Canada has far more attacking talent than Chile, and with qualification on the line, Canada will get the job done by outscoring the problem.

Jonathan David odds, prop for today

My best bet
Over 0.5 shots on target (-139 at Betano)

My analysis
Jonathan David got his Copa America campaign off and running against Peru and there is a very real chance he sees plenty of opportunity to score again here vs. Chile.

We've talked in length about how Chile will have to push bodies forward in search of goals and the win, so all it takes is one quick counterattack to get David his shot on target.

Canada vs Chile same-game parlay (SGP)

Canada double chance — Win/Draw

Over 1.5 goals

Canada — First team to score

In addition to our best bet of Canada win/draw, we are taking the Over 1.5 goals.

Chile are going to be aggressive in their search for goals, and they have enough talent up front to string some passes and attempts together. Ultimately, however, Canada will get on the scoreboard first... thus opening up the game even further for goals from both sides.
