My analysis
An April Manchester derby would have looked like a massive game when it was scheduled last June, but with neither club in title contention, it’s all about the rivalry between the teams and less about league position.
With neither team having a great season, winning this one would be a positive addition to the year and lift the mood within their fanbases.
Man United are the hosts and they entered the weekend 13th in the Premier League, eight spots and 14 behinds their cross-city rivals.
It’s been a difficult season for new manager Ruben Amorim, but there have been positive signs in recent months, and they could be far better next season after a summer of coaching and some reinforcements.
City will also be looking for new signings in the summer, with their team looking aging and stale.
Pep Guardiola signed a handful of new players in January to refresh his team. Our best bet focuses on one of those new additions, Omar Marmoush, and we’ll be backing the Egyptian to score.
Since arriving in Manchester, we’ve seen Marmoush really add something to the Man City team.
He’s played eight times in the Premier League, one of which was a substitute appearance from the bench, in which he scored five goals.
He’s also made a lot of his appearances playing behind Erling Haaland, the team’s striker, which has potentially limited his ability to score slightly.
However, we saw Erling Haaland injured last weekend, and he’s been ruled out for an extended period, meaning that Marmoush now has an opportunity to play down the middle for his team.
He's been in red-hot form all season, scoring 20 goals for Eintracht Frankfurt in the first half of the season, earning his move to Manchester.
That included 15 goals in 17 Bundesliga games as a striker, and now he has a chance to play in his favored position, which should allow him more scoring opportunities.
Marmoush has now scored in back-to-back games, scoring as a striker during the week, so comes into this Manchester derby in good form. With United struggling, they may have trouble dealing with his exceptional movement.
The 26-year has displayed exceptional finishing skills this season, and that, combined with his intelligence and his ability to dribble into dangerous positions, makes him a great value bet to score against a Man Utd team with a history of conceding a lot of goals to City.

In addition to Omar Marmoush scoring in this game, we’re going to back his team to win. Man City have had the better of this fixture in recent years and have won three of the past four games at Old Trafford in all competitions.
As poor as they’ve been this season, they’re still 14 points better off than Man Utd and look like they might have turned a corner, with some improved performances in recent weeks.
The final leg of the SGP is for Man Utd’s Manuel Ugarte to get carded. The Uruguayan has the worst disciplinary record on his team, with eight yellow cards.
He averages a staggering 2.09 fouls committed per 90 minutes played in the Premier League. He faces a tough battle as he anchors Man Utd’s midfield and has to deal with the movement and trickery of Marmoush and Foden.
