The midweek slate of Premier League games begins today and I'm looking at West Ham vs Tottenham Hotspur in particular. This all-London game isn’t the biggest rivalry for either team but there’s no love lost, and the atmosphere under the floodlights at the London Stadium should be a good one.
Can Spurs continue their good run of form and win as the Premier League odds favorites, or will the home side be able to scupper their run at the Top 4? Don’t miss my West Ham vs Tottenham Hotspur EPL predictions for April 2 to find out.

EPL predictions for West Ham vs Tottenham
West Ham come into this match on the back of a 4-3 loss to Newcastle on Saturday, the nature of that defeat galling to fans, with David Moyes’ team throwing away a two-goal lead.
West Ham have overperformed this season and sit seventh in the Premier League, which given they lost Declan Rice in the summer is impressive, and shows they reinvested his transfer fee wisely. However, that defeat to Newcastle now means they’ve won just two of their past 11 games in the Premier League, a slump that is coming at the wrong time and could see them stumble towards the finish line of the season.
Meanwhile, Spurs beat Luton 2-1 but will be concerned they again had to win from behind. Ange Postecoglou’s style of play is hugely exciting — especially for a neutral — but the team’s inability to defend will cause issues. That said, I think Spurs are a good matchup for this West Ham team, and winning three of their last four coming into this game gives them an advantage.
With games coming thick and fast we’re likely to see rotation needed for both sides but it’s Spurs that are better equipped for that. Richarlison has a very good chance at coming back into the team but crucially, so does Mickey van de Ven.
The defender made the bench against Luton as he continued his return from injury, and his presence in the starting XI will be a huge boost for the team. He’s looked exceptional before the injury his speed in particular is a huge advantage for any defender in Postecoglou’s system.
If he does return that really hands the advantage to Spurs, who’ll be in a better position to deal with the likes of Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen, as they play off Michail Antonio.
Just 12 points split these two teams in the Premier League table but the major difference is in the goals scored column with Spurs on 61 to West Ham’s 49. The ability of Spurs to score is what should be the difference maker here.

West Ham vs Tottenham same-game parlay
Son Heung-Min has been Tottenham's best player since the departure of Harry Kane and he’s really adding a lot of his team’s attack. In 26 Premier League games he’s scored 15 goals and assisted another eight more. He’s involved in over a third of his teams goals and if Spurs win on Tuesday, it’s probable the 31-year old had a hand in it.
I'm also backing Lucas Paqueta to commit Over 0.5 fouls. The Brazilian has been West Ham’s star player this season but he can be a liability at times, often giving up fouls. He’s got seven yellow cards on the season and has averaged 1.6 fouls per game, the most on the team for anybody who has played 10 or more games. In a tough game against a local rival he’s almost certain to foul at least once.

West Ham vs Tottenham side and Over/Under analysis
At odds of +114 you’re getting great value on Spurs winning, but if you want to back either of the other options you can put your money on West Ham at +204 or the draw at +300.
In terms of total goals you can get Over 2.5 goals at -239 or Under 2.5 goals at +200. The reason for these wild odds are that we’ve seen Over 2.5 goals land in 82.8% of Spurs’ games this season, including each of their last 12 in the Premier League. The Over has also landed in 53.3% of West Ham’s home games this campaign too.
Over 2.5 goals is the most likely result but at odds at -239 it’s really not worth the risk. You’re better off avoiding that market, considering Over/Under on 3.5 instead, where you can get Over 3.5 goals at +100 or, Under 3.5 goals at -118. Taking the Under on 3.5 at odds of -118 feels the wisest play on total goals for this game.
