Chris Taylor had two hits in the seventh inning, including a triple to cap Los Angeles' eight-run frame, and the visiting Dodgers routed the Colorado Rockies 12-4 on Saturday night.
Joc Pederson had four hits and scored four times, Matt Kemp homered and Pedro Baez (2-3) pitched an inning of relief to get the win for L.A.
Trevor Story had three hits and Nolan Arenado singled twice for the Rockies.
The Dodgers broke open a tie game with the big seventh inning off Colorado's bullpen.
L.A. started the inning with consecutive singles from Taylor and Justin Turner off Bryan Shaw (2-4), Yasmani Grandal's groundout scored Taylor from third, and Kemp homered to center to make it 7-4.
Mike Dunn relieved Shaw but walked Cody Bellinger and Yasiel Puig around a single by Pederson, and Breyvic Valera drove in two with a single to center. Harrison Musgrave came on and walked Enrique Hernandez before Taylor tripled to score two more to make it 12-4.
Both teams got on the board in the second inning. Pederson doubled with one out and Kemp on first to put runners on second and third. Kemp scored on Puig's groundout, and Pederson came home on a single by Valera to make it 2-0.
Valera finished with two hits and three RBIs.
The Rockies came right back in the bottom of the inning to take the lead off L.A. starter Walker Buehler. With one out, Tony Wolters' RBI single cut the deficit in half and he went to second on the throw home. DJ LeMahieu followed German Marquez's fly out with a two-run double, and he scored on Charlie Blackmon's single to make it 4-2.
The Dodgers chipped away at the lead, scoring a run in the fourth and another in the sixth off Marquez to tie it.
Kemp helped his team with his arm in the first inning when he threw out Blackmon at home trying to score on Carlos Gonzalez's fly out to left.
