Kyle Schwarber hit two solo home runs, J.T. Realmuto homered and drove in three runs and the host Philadelphia Phillies crushed the Washington Nationals 11-0 on Tuesday.
Alec Bohm added two hits and three RBIs, while Nick Castellanos added two hits and two RBIs.
Darick Hall also contributed three hits and an RBI for the Phillies, who have won four of their last five.
Phillies starter Cristopher Sanchez (1-1) tossed five scoreless innings and gave up two hits. He struck out two and walked two.
The Nationals had just three hits in the game.
Washington starter Paolo Espino (0-2) lasted only 3 2/3 innings and allowed six hits and four runs to go along with three strikeouts and one walk.
The Phillies went ahead 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning when Schwarber launched a leadoff solo homer to center field.
Schwarber's second homer, this time with two outs in the third, gave the Phillies a 2-0 advantage. It was the 25th homer of the season for Schwarber and his 18th career multi-home run performance.
The Phillies pounded out a total of 13 hits.
Ehire Adrianza's single in the second was the Nationals' only hit through the first four innings.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Phillies took a 3-0 lead when Realmuto lofted a deep sacrifice fly to center, scoring Castellanos. Bohm added an RBI single, and the lead was extended to 4-0.
Realmuto hit a two-run homer to right in the fifth to give Philadelphia a commanding six-run edge.
The Phillies extended their lead to 9-0 in the sixth when Castellanos blooped a two-run single to right and Hall added an RBI base hit. Bohm followed with a two-run single to cap of Philadelphia's scoring.
Washington reliever Reed Garrett was lit up for four hits and five runs in 2/3 inning in the sixth.
Infielder Alcides Escobar pitched a scoreless eighth for the Nationals.
