Chance Sisco homered and drove in five runs, and Anthony Santander homered and had four RBIs, and the Baltimore Orioles routed the visiting Cleveland Indians 13-0 Friday night.
Sisco hit a two-run homer in the first inning and an RBI single in the second against Cleveland starter Mike Clevinger (1-2), who lasted just 1 2/3 innings. The Orioles jumped to an 8-0 lead with two early four-run rallies.
Santander belted a two-run homer in the second, and he and Sisco each had two-run doubles in the eighth. Baltimore's Rio Ruiz had three hits, and Hanser Alberto contributed two hits and two RBIs.
Baltimore had lost 13 of its previous 14 games, including the past three in a row.
Orioles starter John Means came off the injured list after recovering from a shoulder strain, and he threw five shutout innings. Means (7-4) gave up only one hit and retired the final 11 batters he faced after missing just one turn in the rotation. He also struck out five and walked one.
The Orioles then received some good bullpen work. Branden Kline threw two innings before Paul Fry and Miguel Castro tossed one inning apiece to close the shutout.
Clevinger also was coming off of the injured list, returning from a sprained ankle. He gave up seven runs on five hits and three walks with two strikeouts.
Sisco gave the Orioles a 2-0 lead in the first with his two-run homer. Baltimore made it 4-0 later in the inning on an Alberto two-run double.
The Orioles kept going in the second when Dwight Smith Jr. drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and Sisco added an RBI single before Santander greeted Tyler Olson with his two-run shot to center that made it 8-0.
Sisco nearly added another homer in the fourth, but Cleveland center fielder Oscar Mercado robbed him with a leaping catch at the wall.
Ruiz poked an opposite-field single to left in the seventh that gave the Orioles a 9-0 lead.
