Last Meeting ( Apr 6, 2013 ) St. Louis 6, San Francisco 3

The San Francisco Giants look to win their second straight series on Sunday when they face the St. Louis Cardinals, whose offense finally came to life in Saturday's 6-3 win. Carlos Beltran broke out of an early slump with two hits and three RBIs and Pete Kozma contributed three hits in the victory. The Cardinals are hoping to have third baseman David Freese back for their home opener on Monday. Freese, who has been out with a back injury, could finish his minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis on Sunday.

San Francisco has won three of its first five games despite averaging 2.4 runs. The Giants are 2-for-21 with runners in scoring position this season, and No. 2 hitter Marco Scutaro has two hits in his first 19 at-bats. First baseman Brandon Belt, who lost 11 pounds while dealing with a stomach bug earlier this week, went hitless in four at-bats on Saturday and is still seeking his first hit.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
