Arizona @ Colorado preview
Coors Field
Last Meeting ( Apr 19, 2013 ) Arizona 1, Colorado 3
There is a message on an eraser board in the Colorado Rockies clubhouse which reads "This is our House.'' It was written by first-year manager Walt Weiss, whose top priority was to improve the Rockies' 35-46 record at Coors Field in 2012. The Rockies have taken it to heart and will put their 7-0 home record on the line when they host the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. Colorado has also won seven straight overall for the first time since April 9-15, 2011.
Friday's 3-1 victory may have come at a price, though, as Rockies starter Jhoulys Chacin left after 6 1/3 innings because of left oblique stiffness. With a 3-0 record, Chacin has been a big reason the first-place Rockies (12-4) have matched the best start in club history. Arizona rookie shortstop Didi Gregorius is known more for his fielding, but recorded his second straight two-hit game Friday after being called up to replace Aaron Hill (broken left hand) in the lineup.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Diamondbacks RH Trevor Cahill (0-2, 3.50 ERA) vs. Rockies LH Jorge De La Rosa (1-1, 3.86)
After struggling in his first two starts, Cahill rebounded with 7 1/3 shutout innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday. Cahill did not receive a decision in Arizona's 1-0 victory, but should be armed with plenty of confidence for Saturday. The 25-year-old native of Oceanside, Calif. is 1-3 with a 5.65 ERA in five starts against the Rockies, but 1-1 and 3.44 at hitter-friendly Coors Field. Cahill has handled Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki (combined 2-for-11) well.
Since allowing a three-run homer to San Francisco's Hunter Pence in the first inning two starts ago, De La Rosa has yielded one run in 11 innings. The 32-year-old Mexican allowed two hits and struck out seven in six shutout innings in Colorado's 2-1 victory at San Diego on Sunday. It was his first win since May 13, 2011 in his sixth start since returning from Tommy John surgery in September. De La Rosa is 6-3 with a 2.41 ERA in 16 games (12 starts) against Arizona.
WALK-OFFS
1. Tulowitzki has 17 home runs against Arizona after his two-run shot Friday, the most against any team.
2. Diamondbacks 1B Paul Goldschmidt, who had reached base in the first 15 games, went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts and a double play Friday.
3. Rockies RHP Rafael Betancourt is 6-for-6 in save opportunities for the second straight year. He finished with 31 in 2012, his first full season in the closer's role.
PREDICTION: Rockies 6, Diamondbacks 5
