Last Meeting ( Apr 23, 2013 ) Chi. Cubs 4, Cincinnati 2

A series that has been filled with late-inning drama wraps up Wednesday when the Cincinnati Reds host the Chicago Cubs in the finale of a three-game set. The Cubs held on for a 4-2 win in 10 innings after squandering a late lead for the second straight night. The Reds won the opener in 13 innings. Chicago's win snapped a four-game losing streak overall and a five-game skid against the Reds.

Cincinnati has won 10 of the past 12 meetings. It was just the second loss in nine games on the Reds' current homestand. The Cubs got home runs Tuesday from light-hitting infielders Cody Ransom and Darwin Barney, but they also struck out 13 times. The Reds have racked up 10 or more strikeouts in a franchise-record six consecutive games.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
