AT&T Park

Last Meeting ( Apr 20, 2013 ) San Diego 0, San Francisco 2

The San Diego Padres look to avoid another series sweep Sunday at AT&T Park when they face the San Francisco Giants, who have won two in a row since being swept in three games by Milwaukee. The Padres have already been swept in two series by Colorado, and are in danger of losing three straight to the Giants, who won the first two games by a combined total of three runs. The Giants have won 14 of their last 20 games against San Diego.

San Francisco used a strong outing from Tim Lincecum and a two-run homer by Pablo Sandoval to win 2-0 on Saturday, but Sandoval left the game in the seventh after hitting a foul ball off his right foot. It is unclear whether he'll miss any time. The Padres’ starting rotation is a question mark after Tyson Ross landed on the disabled list Saturday with a minor dislocation of his left shoulder. Another starter, Clayton Richard, was scratched before Saturday’s game because of flu-like symptoms, but is hoping to return Tuesday.

Stults is 4-2 with a 5.10 ERA in nine career starts against the Giants, and has earned the win in four of his last six starts against San Francisco dating to 2009. Sandoval has six hits in 10 at-bats against Stults, who went 2-0 with a 4.95 ERA in four games (three starts) against the Giants last season.

The Giants had won 16 straight Zito starts before Tuesday, when the veteran gave up nine runs over 2 2/3 innings. He opened the season by tossing seven scoreless innings in each of his first two starts. Zito, 34, has gone 4-9 with a 4.80 ERA in 21 games (20 starts) against San Diego. About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
