PETCO Park

Last Meeting ( Apr 23, 2013 ) Milwaukee 6, San Diego 3

The Milwaukee Brewers keep racking up victories and the San Diego Padres can’t win at home. The Brewers seek their 10th consecutive victory when they attempt to complete a three-game sweep at Petco Park on Wednesday. Milwaukee last won 10 games in 2003 and has outscored the Padres 13-4 in the first two games. San Diego has lost seven straight home games - five straight overall - and is 5-15 on the season.

San Diego outfielder Carlos Quentin went 1-for-3 with an RBI in his first game since serving an eight-game suspension because of his altercation with Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke. Tuesday’s game was the first time Quentin and 2012 National League RBI leader Chase Headley were in the lineup together this season. “Any team will tell you your best lineup is when your best players are in it,” San Diego manager Bud Black said. “Let’s hope these guys can do what we need them to do – stay productive offensively.” Brewers shortstop Jean Segura had three hits Tuesday to raise his average to .377. Outfielder Ryan Braun was hitless in four at-bats Tuesday, but has a .360 career average against Wednesday starter Edinson Volquez.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
