Chicago @ Milwaukee preview

Miller Park

Last Meeting ( Apr 20, 2013 ) Chi. Cubs 1, Milwaukee 5

The Milwaukee Brewers have enjoyed playing host to the Chicago Cubs recently, and they'll try to make it seven straight home wins against Chicago and complete a three-game sweep when the teams wrap up their series Sunday afternoon. The Brewers are riding a six-game winning streak after a 5-1 victory over the Cubs on Saturday.

Milwaukee's last seven-game winning streak came from July 26-Aug. 1, 2011, and began with a three-game sweep of the Cubs at Miller Park. Chicago has lost five of its last six and has scored two runs or fewer in three of those games. The Cubs continue to struggle in clutch situations, hitting .148 with runners in scoring position. Alfonso Soriano drove in the team's only run Saturday, but he has only two RBIs batting in the cleanup spot.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Cubs RH Scott Feldman (0-2, 6.00 ERA) vs. Brewers RH Wily Peralta (0-1, 6.19)

The Cubs skipped Feldman the last time through the rotation because of tightness in his back, so he hasn't pitched since April 11. Chicago hopes the extra time off will do some good after two sub-par outings to begin his stint with the Cubs. Feldman hasn't made it out of the fifth inning in either outing and has walked seven over nine innings.

Peralta is still looking for his first win after lasting only four innings in his last outing against San Francisco. He faced the Cubs on April 9 and recorded a quality start, allowing three runs (two earned) over 6 2/3 innings, but he did not get a decision. Peralta has issued eight walks in 16 innings, and the control issues also have driven up his pitch counts.

WALK-OFFS

1. The Brewers have hit 12 home runs during their six-game winning streak after hitting five in their first 10 contests.

2. Feldman has faced the Brewers once and threw six scoreless innings against them in 2010.

3. Cubs SS Starlin Castro is batting .340 during a 12-game hitting streak, the longest active streak in the National League.

PREDICTION: Brewers 6, Cubs 4

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
