Last Meeting ( Apr 30, 2013 ) NY Mets 1, Miami 2

The Miami Marlins clinched their first series win of the season after consecutive comeback victories the last two days. The Marlins will go for the sweep of the three-game set with the visiting New York Mets on Wednesday. Miami fought back with a run to tie in the ninth Monday before winning in 15 innings and scored twice in the ninth Tuesday to extend its win streak to three. The Marlins came into the week 0-14 when trailing after eight frames before pushing the Mets' losing streak to six.

New York has scored only 11 times during its six-game slide and wasted an outstanding eight inning effort from starter Jeremy Hefner on Tuesday. The Mets are getting decent hitting numbers from captain David Wright, Daniel Murphy, John Buck and Lucas Duda. Ike Davis, who has four homers but is batting .165 with 29 strikeouts, must pick it up.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
