Miami @ San Francisco preview

Oracle Park

Last Meeting ( May 30, 2019 ) San Francisco 3, Miami 1

The Miami Marlins couldn't wait to leave South Florida in their rearview mirror after a dismal homestand, an unfortunate scenario that the San Francisco Giants know all too well in the Bay Area. The Giants have lost nine of their last 11 contests at Oracle Park heading into the opener of a three-game series against the visiting Marlins.

Evan Longoria was responsible for San Francisco's lone offense in Thursday's 4-2 setback to Pittsburgh, launching a two-run blast in the sixth inning to account for the team's second homer of the four-game series. The Giants' offense has scored just 14 runs while losing four of five overall and mustered eight in dropping two of three in Miami on May 28-30. The reeling Marlins head west after seeing their fortunes go south with a 1-6 homestand that was capped with a four-game sweep at the hands of Milwaukee. Miguel Rojas had an RBI single among his two hits in Thursday's 3-2 setback to the Brewers and is 9-for-24 in his last six games.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
