Last Meeting ( Sep 18, 2019 ) San Diego 2, Milwaukee 1

The Milwaukee Brewers' September surge hit a lull Wednesday night, but they'll have a chance at a series win when they finish a four-game set with the visiting San Diego Padres on Thursday. After winning 11 of 12 games, the Brewers were held to three hits in a 2-1 loss to the Padres on Wednesday.

The setback ended a four-game winning streak for Milwaukee, which fell three games behind the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Central and stayed tied with the Chicago Cubs for the second wild card. Rookie Keston Hiura provided all the offense for the Brewers on Wednesday with a solo homer in the sixth, but the home team left a runner in scoring position in the seventh and ninth. They'll try to get the bats going again when they meet San Diego lefty Joey Lucchesi in the series finale, while right-hander Jordan Lyles looks to continue his solid stretch run for Milwaukee. Seth Mejias-Brean slugged a two-run shot for the Padres on Wednesday, the first home run of his career, as his team ended a six-game slide.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
