Seattle @ Baltimore preview
Oriole Park at Camden Yards
Last Meeting ( Sep 20, 2019 ) Seattle 3, Baltimore 5
Anthony Santander gets another opportunity to further his case to be part of Baltimore's future when the Orioles host the Seattle Mariners on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game series. The 24-year-old Santander belted a three-run homer in Friday's 5-3 victory to become the fourth member of the Orioles to launch 20 blasts this season.
Santander is batting .269 with 59 RBIs, but his average was .293 as recently as Sept. 2 before a recent funk led to a significant drop. Hanser Alberto added a solo shot as the Orioles ended their four-game slide and won for just the fifth time in 20 contests. Seattle had its five-game winning streak halted as it recorded only four hits and went 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position in the opener. Phenom Kyle Lewis hit a two-run homer and is batting .325 with six blasts and 12 RBIs in 40 major-league at-bats.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Mariners LH Justus Sheffield (0-1, 5.40 ERA) vs. Orioles RH Asher Wojciechowski (3-8, 5.38)
Sheffield will be making his sixth start and seventh appearance of the season. The 23-year-old registered a career-high eight strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Chicago White Sox in his last turn but was touched for six runs - five earned - and six hits. Sheffield gave up one run over 11 frames in his previous two outings.
Wojciechowski halted his eight-start winless stretch by beating Detroit on Sunday. The 31-year-old lost his previous five decisions before limiting the Tigers to two runs and eight hits over five innings. Wojciechowski allowed four runs and eight hits over four frames in a no-decision against the Mariners on April 20, 2015 while pitching for Houston.
