Last Meeting ( Jan 20, 2019 ) L.A. Clippers 103, San Antonio 95

The San Antonio Spurs are one of two remaining unbeaten teams in the NBA, and they look to keep their perfect mark intact when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday. San Antonio has won two games by three or fewer points during a 3-0 start while keeping company with Philadelphia (4-0) as undefeated squads.

Star forward Kawhi Leonard should be well-rested to face his former club after being held out for rest on Wednesday, when the Clippers suffered a 110-96 setback in Utah. Leonard has topped 20 points in all four of his contests this season, including two 30-point efforts, and Los Angeles sorely missed him while committing 20 turnovers in the loss to the Jazz. San Antonio has been off since producing a 113-110 home win over Portland on Monday in which it outscored the Trail Blazers 63-38 in the middle two quarters. DeMar DeRozan poured in 27 points in that contest to help secure the eighth 3-0 start in team history.

TV: 10:30 p.m. ET, KENS (San Antonio), Prime Ticket (Los Angeles)

ABOUT THE SPURS (3-0): San Antonio is averaging 119 points per game as DeRozan (22 points per game) and star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (21.3) have received plenty of help from the supporting cast. Shooting guard Bryn Forbes is contributing 16.7 points while point guards Dejounte Murray (14.7 points) and Derrick White (13.3) also are in double digits in the early going. Forbes (nine) and backup guard Patty Mills (seven) have combined for two-thirds of the squad's 24 3-pointers.

ABOUT THE CLIPPERS (3-2): Three-time Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams was in the starting lineup against the Jazz, and the veteran guard scored 16 of his 24 points in the first half. Coach Doc Rivers said Williams doesn't mind beginning the game on the floor, but the start was just his 111th in 941 games over 15 NBA seasons. Forward JaMychal Green was the bench player with big production against the Jazz as he was 8-of-11 shooting while establishing season highs of 23 points and eight rebounds.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. The teams split last season's four meetings.

2. San Antonio F Trey Lyles has grabbed at least seven rebounds in each game while averaging a team-high 8.7.

3. Los Angeles G Landry Shamet was 1-of-7 shooting on Wednesday while scoring a season-low five points.

PREDICTION: Clippers 115, Spurs 108
