Luka Doncic has three triple-doubles in six games and looks to notch another when the Dallas Mavericks host the Orlando Magic on Wednesday. Doncic recorded 29 points, matched his season best of 15 assists and collected a season-high 14 rebounds in Sunday's 131-111 rout of the Cleveland Cavaliers and is averaging 26.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 9.5 assists.

The second-year star has 11 triple-doubles in 78 career games and continues to impress his teammates and coaches with his wizardry and intelligence. "He's one of the best players in the world," Dallas coach Rick Carlisle told reporters of Doncic. "And unlike most young players, he is very physical. And that's one of the things that makes him really unique. I don't think there's any challenge that he would ever back down from." Orlando has dropped three games in a row and an inability to score was again a problem during Tuesday's 102-94 road loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Magic have yet to record 100 points in a game this season and rank last in the NBA at 93.6 points per game.

TV: 8:30 p.m. ET, FS Florida (Orlando), FS Southwest (Dallas)

ABOUT THE MAGIC (2-5): Orlando shot just 39 percent from the field, including a porous 3-of-22 from 3-point range, during the loss to the Thunder. "We have to make shots. We are shooting a terrible percentage as a team," power forward Aaron Gordon told reporters after the setback. "I like the shots that we are getting. Just got to be more confident. Take more of them and work the game a little bit better ... not just be in a hurry to take the first shot." Center Nikola Vucevic was just 4-of-15 shooting while scoring 10 points Tuesday and he has made more than 50 percent of his shots just once this season while connecting on just 40.7 percent of his attempts.

ABOUT THE MAVERICKS (4-2): Dallas is receiving strong play in the interior which was expected from Kristaps Porzingis, who had 18 points, nine rebounds and a season-best six blocked shots against Cleveland. But backup center Boban Marjanovic helped fuel the win over the Cavaliers with 12 points and eight rebounds in just 15 minutes. "Marjanovic is giving us really good minutes these last two games," Carlisle told reporters. "He's plus-25 in 15 minutes (against Cleveland), which is really amazing. It speaks to how professional he's been staying ready. And he's running around guarding guys on the perimeter. Obviously, he and Luka have a connection out there."

BUZZER BEATERS

1. The Magic have dropped their last seven games in Dallas and 17 of their past 20.

2. Orlando PG Markelle Fultz has started the past two games and matched his season high of 13 points against the Thunder.

3. Porzingis made a season-high four 3-pointers against the Cavaliers, his fourth outing of three or more this season.

PREDICTION: Mavericks 101, Magic 95
