Last Meeting ( Feb 12, 2019 ) L.A. Lakers 113, Atlanta 117

The Los Angeles Lakers are staying hot at home by beating up on some sub-.500 teams and have two more to go before heading back out on the road. They'll try to stay perfect on the four-game homestand and stretch their winning streak to four when they host the stumbling Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.

After knocking off Phoenix on the road Tuesday, Los Angeles defeated Golden State and Sacramento to begin the stay at the Staples Center, with star forward Anthony Davis returning from a one-game layoff and overcoming a sluggish offensive outing with a big block in the closing seconds against the Kings. "It definitely increases my mindset defensively," Davis told reporters after scoring only 17 points. "When the shot's not falling, I try to do the other things to help the team win." The Hawks fell to 1-3 on their current five-game road trip with an ugly 150-101 setback to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night for their most lopsided loss since 1956, when the franchise was based in St. Louis. The Hawks shot a season-low 37.8 percent from the field while giving up at least 120 points for the fifth game in a row.

TV: 9:30 p.m. ET, FS Southeast (Atlanta), Spectrum SportsNet (Los Angeles)

ABOUT THE HAWKS (4-8): Leading scorer Trae Young was 4-for-16 from the floor and fellow starter Cam Reddish finished 4-for-15 as his offensive struggles continue. The rookie forward tied his season high with 12 points but is 25-for-98 on the season - 8-for-41 from long range. Jabari Parker scored 20 points in four straight games before being held to 11 against the Clippers.

ABOUT THE LAKERS (10-2): LeBron James scored 29 points and handed out 11 assists to carry Los Angeles in the win over the Kings. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who has struggled with his shot for much of the season, chipped in 16 points while making 3-of-5 3-pointers. "Well, we gotta have a next man up attitude and next man up was KCP tonight," James said of Caldwell-Pope. "Hell of a job he had in that second half especially in that fourth quarter shooting the ball with extreme confidence."

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Lakers PG Rajon Rondo has five points on 2-of-9 shooting in 32 minutes over two games since returning from a calf issue.

2. Hawks SF Chandler Parsons (knee) was active Saturday but did not appear in the game.

3. The teams split two meetings last season with the home team winning both times.

PREDICTION: Lakers 122, Hawks 104
