The Toronto Raptors were frustrated after finishing off a five-game trip with losses in two of the final three stops and took out that frustration on the Charlotte Hornets when they returned home on Monday. The Raptors will try to post a second straight blowout win when they host the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.

Toronto is still missing All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry (thumb) but managed to set a franchise record with 40 assists without him in the 132-96 win over Charlotte. "Even though there were some long possessions early in the game I thought we kept staying with things and ended up getting good shots, even late in the shot clock," Raptors coach Nick Nurse told reporters. "That's awesome to see. So many guys with such big numbers and it was start to finish, really." The Magic, who were swept in the first round of the playoffs by Toronto last spring, are surging with wins in three straight but are still looking for their first road win as they embark on a four-game trip. "We've only played four games (on the road) and we haven't won any," guard Evan Fournier told reporters. "Last year, when we made that playoff run, we were extremely good on the road. We said, 'Defense travels,' and we're going to see about that now. But it's a big stretch for us."

TV: 7:30 p.m. ET, FS Florida (Orlando), TSN (Toronto)

ABOUT THE MAGIC (6-7): Orlando's 4-1 homestand featured an uptick in offense to go with the team's stout defense, and it is hoping the combination travels. "Winning is fun, and it's that simple," Fournier told reporters after a 125-121 win over Washington on Sunday. "When things are coming together, the offense is flowing, you have confidence in your defense and basketball is a beautiful game. At times, it can be frustrating when you know that you can do better. But, now, we are playing better, (fans) can enjoy watching us and things are getting better and better." Fournier shot 54.7 percent from the floor while averaging 21 points on the homestand.

ABOUT THE RAPTORS (9-4): Small forward OG Anunoby scored a career-high 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, in 27 minutes in Monday's win. "He jump-started us there in the second half," Nurse told reporters. "I don't know how many he made ... four 3's and a couple of them were dribble to the left late in the clock. Those were big. I think that helped us gain a lot of momentum." Anunoby is shooting 60.4 percent from the floor in seven games this month, including 58.6 percent from 3-point range, to help make up for the losses of Lowry and Serge Ibaka (ankle).

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Raptors C Marc Gasol handed out a season-high nine assists on Monday but scored in single digits for the sixth straight game.

2. Magic C Nikola Vucevic recorded a double-double in each of the last seven games.

3. Toronto earned a 104-95 win at home over Orlando on Oct. 28 behind 26 points from Lowry.

PREDICTION: Raptors 106, Magic 103
