Last Meeting ( Nov 8, 2019 ) Milwaukee 100, Utah 103

The Milwaukee Bucks will try to record their first eight-game winning streak in 17 seasons when they host the Utah Jazz on Monday. Behind another big effort by superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who recorded his 16th straight double-double, the Bucks rolled to a 104-90 win over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.

The victory was the fifth in a row at home for Milwaukee, which is in the early stages of a stretch in which it plays 12 of 15 games at Fiserv Forum. "A lot of this is such a two-way sport; offense takes care of the defense, defense takes care of the offense," Bucks guard Wesley Matthews told reporters after chipping in 13 points in Saturday's win. The Jazz are on a nice run of their own with three consecutive victories and seven in the last nine games following a 128-120 triumph over New Orleans on Saturday at home. Monday's visit to Milwaukee opens a five-game road trip for Utah, which handed Milwaukee its last loss Nov. 8 in Salt Lake City.

ABOUT THE JAZZ (11-5): With center Rudy Gobert sidelined with a sprained ankle, guard Donovan Mitchell led the way Saturday in the team's best offensive output of the season, hitting six 3-pointers en route to a season-high 37 points. "It wasn't anything premediatated, it was just me starting to feel it and then to just keep going," Mitchell, who is averaging 31 points over the last three games, told reporters of his aggressiveness on the second half of a back-to-back. Tony Bradley had his first career start in place of Gobert and was 7-for-8 from the floor en route to a season-high 14 points.

ABOUT THE BUCKS (13-3): Milwaukee held Detroit to 24 points or fewer in all four quarters Saturday night in its second-best defensive result of the season. "There were different guys stepping up, making plays," Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer told reporters. "I think the defense held them tonight. [The Pistons were] a little banged up on a back-to-back. Unfortunate for them, but kind to us." One issue was the team's 9-of-18 showing at the foul line, with Antetokounmpo going 3-for-9 and fellow starter Eric Bledsoe missing his only two attempts.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Jazz SG Bojan Bogdanovic, who scored 28 points in the win over New Orleans, had a season-high 33 and hit the game-winning 3-pointer to defeat Milwaukee earlier this month.

2. Antetokounmpo is the first player with 16 straight double-doubles to start a season since Moses Malone in 1981-82.

3. Utah PG Emmanuel Mudiay is averaging 10.5 points on 75 percent shooting in 15 minutes over his last two games.

PREDICTION: Bucks 109, Jazz 103
