Last Meeting ( Mar 15, 2019 ) Sacramento 114, Philadelphia 123

The Philadelphia 76ers, and center Joel Embiid in particular, will be happy to be home when they host the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. Embiid went scoreless for the first time in his career when the 76ers dropped a 101-96 decision in Toronto on Monday - snapping a four-game winning streak.

Embiid, who leads Philadelphia in scoring at an average of 21 points, could not get comfortable against the Raptors and finished 0-of-11 from the floor and 0-of-3 from the free-throw line in 32 minutes as the team dropped to 4-6 on the road. "I can't have this type of production," Embiid told reporters. "I would have never thought I would be here talking about zero points in an NBA game. But it is what it is. Some nights you make shots, some nights you don't." The Kings need a win on Wednesday to go home even on the four-game road trip after falling just short in a 103-102 loss at Boston on Monday. "I thought our guys played really hard tonight, really well, competed, continued to show improvement as a group," Kings coach Luke Walton told reporters. "...We gave ourselves a chance to win and in an NBA season, it's a long brutal season, most nights that's all you're really asking for is a chance at the end and we had a chance, so I'm proud of the effort our guys put out."

ABOUT THE KINGS (7-9): Buddy Hield did all he could to drag Sacramento to a win on Monday, pouring in a season-high 41 points on 15-of-26 shooting while going 11-of-21 from beyond the arc. "He got his rhythm going and Buddy's an incredible shooter and I think we, as a team, know when he gets hot, let's find him, so a lot of it you have to give his teammates credit, too," Walton told reporters. "...He had a really, really impressive game for us tonight." Hield was 5-of-22 from beyond the arc over his previous three games but still leads the team in scoring at an average of 20.4 points.

ABOUT THE 76ERS (11-6): Philadelphia was coming off one of its most impressive victories - a 113-86 drubbing of the Miami Heat - before falling short in Toronto and struggled to explain the inconsistency. "I mean, we have to be better," small forward Tobias Harris told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "The late fourth quarter, we have to be better engaged offensively and defensively, executing on both sides of the floor." The 76ers got another strong game from shooting guard Josh Richardson, who scored a team-high 25 points against the Raptors after pouring in a season-high 32 against Miami.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. 76ers PG Ben Simmons recorded at least a double-double in five of the last six games.

2. Kings PF Nemanja Bjelica is 1-of-14 from 3-point range over the last three games.

3. The home team took each of the two meetings last season.

PREDICTION: 76ers 121, Kings 116
