The red-hot Los Angeles Clippers seek their seventh consecutive victory when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. Los Angeles followed up a 5-0 homestand with an impressive 114-99 defensive-minded victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday in the opener of a three-game road trip.

Kawhi Leonard had 28 points and eight rebounds and fellow forward Paul George contributed 26 points and six steals - the latter is one shy of his career high - while the Clippers held Dallas star Luka Doncic to 4-of-14 shooting and forced him to commit seven turnovers in a solid triumph. "That's what we hang our hat on," George said in a postgame television interview of the defensive performance. "We have guys that love playing defense. We're really starting to get in our groove and we're really starting to get that chemistry on the defensive end. It's scary. We're clicking right now, we're getting this thing rolling." The Grizzlies have lost four straight games, including a 126-114 setback to the host Indiana Pacers on Monday for their third double-digit setback during the stretch. Forward Jaren Jackson Jr. made a career-best six 3-pointers while scoring a season-high 28 points and point guard Ja Morant recorded 19 points and 10 assists for his second career double-double but the latter is questionable Wednesday because of back soreness.

ABOUT THE CLIPPERS (13-5): Los Angeles held a team averaging 129.8 points during a five-game winning streak below 100 points and to 38 percent shooting as well as forcing 20 turnovers. "They were incredible, they were just very active," Clippers coach Doc Rivers told reporters afterward. "It helps when you have so many different guys that want to defend. You could see that. The whole team was really locked in defensively." Sixth man Lou Williams continues to fill up the hoop as he matched his season best of four 3-pointers and scored 21 points versus Dallas for his 14th 20-point outing of the season.

ABOUT THE GRIZZLIES (5-11): Jackson has scored 20 points or more in three of the past four games and was a stellar 10-of-15 shooting against the Pacers. "I have to be aggressive anyway and I know that I have to do that early on, especially to get us going," Jackson told reporters afterward. "I'm glad I got a lot of shots to fall early and that helps with my confidence." Rookie forward Brandon Clarke added 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting and he is shooting 63.6 percent from the field.

BUZZER BEATERS
